Meet Janelle Hettick of Girls Who Grind AZ in Mesa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Janelle Hettick.

Janelle, before we jump into specific questions about the organization, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am a licensed mental health therapist who loves to network with women in my community to create authentic relationships, business connections, and to make friends. I have been a member, and attended events, with the other local female led groups in the area and felt called to create my own. Girls Who Grind (GWG) was created in October 2019. I didn’t exactly feel like I knew what I was doing, but I knew I needed to just start. I am still overwhelmed by the amount of support I have received when I created this space. I am excited to see how we grow in 2020.

Has it been a smooth road?
We are still a new group but there have not been any challenges. The community has welcomed us with open arms!

Please tell us about your organization.
GWG is an all female networking group in the East Valley. We hold at least one meet up per month. So far we have hiked, visited coffee shops, traveled to Sedona, and attended a charity yoga event. Most events are free of cost and are open to all women. Our main goal is to create a space where women feel supported and empowered.
