Meet James Espinoza of AZ Event Support in Central Phoenix

Today we’d like to introduce you to James Espinoza.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I began AZ Event Support in 2008. Our goal was to provide the best service at a fair price and the way we achieved that was integrity, honesty, passion and the drive to return to good old fashion customer service. We started with three clients and currently have hundreds. Our reputation speaks for itself. Our success depended on how we did our jobs and took care of our clients. You’re only as good as your last gig in this business. It’s all about call backs.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing is ever as smooth as you want it to be. If it was easy everyone would be doing it. For the most part I would have to say we have been blessed. Nothing major, just typical growing pains.

Please tell us about AZ Event Support LLC.
We provide skilled labor for special events. Everything from a stagehand, to a fork op. to a rigger and everything in between.

We specialize in putting the right person in the right position. You don’t call a plumber and ask him to cut the lawn. In other words you match people’s skill sets with the positions available. When people are doing what they love to do vs what they have to do, the result is success.

We are known for going above and beyond, never quitting on the job no matter how challenging, and sharing the same goal as our clients. The goal to be successful. You achieve that by overcoming all obstacles and finding solutions not creating problems. You know, be a marine, adapt and overcome.

My employees are what we are most proud of. They are the face of the company. We vest in them and they in turn vest in us. Without them we would be nothing. That comradery and mutual respect for each other is extremely valuable. It makes a difference that is noticeable to the client, the venue and even the patron.

Our customer service and commitment to our employees is what separates us from the rest of the companies that do this. We care for both our clients and our workers.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Favorite childhood memory is working with my grandfather, he raised me and taught me how to work and be integral. Never give up and do what you said you were gonna do. If you committed to something then see it all the way through.
