Meet Jaden Sprinz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaden Sprinz.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It started back in November of 2018. I was pursuing a career in DJing and producing as well as a full-time student at ASU. I didn’t have much time for anything else but my brother Austin Sprinz recommended I try this new thing called TikTok. He said it was going to be the next big thing I was curious so I tried it out.

I eventually had one video blow up which I thought was cool so I started posting a bit more. After posting for a while I noticed comments talking about my teeth and how they looked like vampire’s teeth, so I decided to make some comedic skits where I did things that a vampire would do then I would say “I’m not a vampire”. These types of videos did very well in my early days of TikTok, but as time went on I transitioned to doing all different types of entertaining content on TikTok. I started investing a little more time into creating videos and not as much time into DJing and Producing, as I really just enjoyed created videos and interacting with my new fans. Then during December, something crazy happened that kind of changed everything! I was at the 99cent store with my brother and our friend Nicki. We were getting Christmas supplies for a video we were going to make, and I saw some strange little candy hanging on a shelf. They were these fruit shaped jelly-filled plastic things. I thought they looked kinda strange and would be fun for a video. I ended up buying a few bags and went home.

Later the next day, I saw that I was getting a lot of comments that my teeth were fake. I decided that I could make fun videos where I puncture one of those jelly fruits with my teeth to show they were real. The video ended up do very well, and I was getting a lot of comments and messages to create more of these videos. I wasn’t opposed, so I kept on making videos with these jelly fruits. Weeks later, I started seeing more people make videos with these Jelly fruits. They started to become known as the TikTok candy. They were selling out fast and every store was sold out of this candy within days. These little jelly fruits became the hottest candy on the market. Selling for hundreds on eBay. I just couldn’t believe it, that this whole thing started because I found these little candies at a 99cent store. I also have so many new amazing fans from this trend that support me in this career and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. It’s been such an insane experience and I’m just so grateful for the ways in which things happened. I look forward to creating more and possibly creating another trend in the future.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has definitely been tough. There were many times where the hate comments would get to me and just make me feel terrible at times. There were also a lot of sacrifices I had to make in order to devote more time into this career path. At other times it’s just been hard to balance time between this and school and other things going on in life.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am a social influencer I create short-form comedic videos on TikTok as well as longer videos on YouTube. I am known for having vampire like teeth and creating one of the biggest trends on TikTok the jelly fruit trend. I am most proud of being able to put a smile on people’s faces and just make someone’s day with one of my videos. What would set me apart from others is I like to do things differently and stand out from the crowd and love creating with highest energy possible.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I have been here my whole life and love it so much. I love the people here and love almost everything about it. It just feels like home. The one thing I least like is when the temperature gets to 112 degrees. It definitely isn’t too nice outside on those days.
