Meet Jack Fliegler,

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jack Fliegler, .

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I grew up loving guitar and alongside that, loving video game music. Video game music and heavy metal were my two favorite things to listen to but up until a point, I was mainly focused on playing metal on guitar. My friend and I in high school had the idea to make some heavy metal arrangements of video game music and I put it up on my YouTube channel back when YouTube was a relatively new thing. Everyone’s reactions were so heartwarming and positive that it instantly drove me to make more and more and now I am able to do it full-time thanks to the support from my listeners.

Please tell us about your art.
I make metal guitar arrangements of video game themes. I do it for many reasons but I suppose the main 2 reasons are to empower my listeners with the power of heavy metal to rise up and take on their day. But also to remind my listeners of their younger years and bring in a sense of nostalgia and happiness which I think is important. Being an adult is great but it’s important to never lose the kid in you that’s filled with imagination and excitement. A bonus 3rd reason is of course because it personally makes me happy and I just love that feeling of creating music.

We often hear from artists that being an artist can be lonely. Any advice for those looking to connect with other artists?
It’s definitely hard to find people as motivated and energized by art as you are in day-to-day life. But, as long as you put yourself out there, you will eventually find like-minded people. We are all trying to find each other so really just embrace the community of artists making similar content to you and it should be a great experience.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
