Meet Isiah Negron

Today we’d like to introduce you to Isiah Negron.

Hi Isiah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2018, I started a clothing brand called YAYAV. The name came from both my grandmas, who passed away. One I called Yaya, and my other grandma’s name is Virginia. I wanted to keep your name alive and create a legacy. Growing up, I noticed at a very young age that my grandmas had the biggest hearts; no matter the situation, they were always willing to give a hand to somebody in need, and that’s what YAYAV is all about: spreading love and giving back. I’ve made it this far because every day, my angels remind me that what I’m doing is great and that I never give up and keep pushing through it all! The brand also represents resilience to work hard for everything you want in life, never to lose faith in the lord, and you will see light at the end of the tunnel.

Has it been a smooth road? If not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced?
It has been a challenging road. Everything I’ve learned through this journey has been self-taught. There has been a lot of failure and doubt, but it has made me better and wiser.

As you know, we’re big fans of your work. What can you tell our readers who might need to be more familiar with it?
Art has been part of my life since I was a kid. My grandpa is a painter, and that inspired me to become one. With my creativity and love for fashion, it was a no-brainer to start my brand, and that is what I’m most proud of. I took an idea and made it real.

What changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Being the biggest brand in the world
