Meet Inocente and Tania Cayetano of Degino Coffee Bar in Buckeye

Today we’d like to introduce you to Inocente and Tania Cayetano.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Inocente and Tania. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My wife and I always had the idea that we wanted to open up a coffee shop since I myself Inocente have been in the coffee business for about 22 years. Before Degino Coffee Bar, I worked for my father’s coffee business. Where I gain lots of knowledge throughout the years. My father taught me what it is to be a businessman and all that I know about the coffee business. In the other hand I Tania have always been a very passionate and creative person. With a business mentality.

Back in summer 2019, we came out with an idea. The idea was “Events”. We wanted to be part of something wonderful in people’s special events. And in October 2019 was when DeGiNo Coffee Bar was born. We hosted our very first event “a Wedding”. We set up the coffee bar and that night just by looking at the people enjoying their coffee and the smiles when approaching the coffee bar brought us confirmation to our dream. That night it became reality. Not only because our service is great but also because our coffee is THE BEST. The coffee is organic, no chemicals nor pesticides. The beans come from my husband fathers coffee plantations. It is freshly roasted daily. Nothing but quality. You may ask what does “DeGiNo” mean… For us it is the world. It is our entire love and pride. We came up with “DeGiNo” by adding the two first letters of our three children. Dexiree, Gianna and Noah. The steam on top of our Logo that creates a heart it represents us Tania and Inocente Cayetano.

From October 2019 to now June 2020, we have learned so much along the way. Now we even added a delivery service due to the pandemic going on. Events were all canceled but that didn’t stop us. We found new ways to keep it going. We cant wait to show you all on what we are still working on. We are very excited for the future as we did when we first launched out. We want to say THANK YOU to ALL of our local supporters because of you all we are able to continue to serve our communities with great coffee.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been all smooth. At the beginning, it looked very promising everything was going as planned. Not until this year in February when we got hit with the COVID19. We had 15 events that got completely canceled. In some events, we even lost high deposits that had already been made for our spot to behold. Not just our business was tremendously hit but many local business as well. We had to readjust along the way till now. We had to find other ways to make it work and continue with our dream. We launched our delivery services and the community has been very supportive. We look forward to restart booking for future events.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Degino Coffee Bar – what should we know?
We are mobile, we come to you. Whether it is for a special event or for a coffee delivery to your doorstep. We are there. We specialize in our cold brew process. Our beans are different from the rest. We use Arabica shade-grown organic coffee. That is grown from my grandfather’s coffee plantation. That has been in our family for three generations.

Also, our signature drinks are very unique from other places. From the Espresso to the design on top of your latte. The other difference that sets us apart from the rest is that we know exactly where the coffee comes from and the process of it. We can tell you the history of the bean. What we are most proud of our company is that we get to do it as a family. The passion that comes from it. To wake up and do what we love.

Definitely God has been our number one supporter and anchor. We have had so much support from our families, friends and our community. We have a mentor in our lives that has been a huge support system in our business. Thanks to her, we are here keeping it going. She is a very successful businesswoman herself and has motivated me to be the best, I can be no matter what comes our way.
