Meet Humberto Arredondo Jr of GriiimGaming in Tempe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Humberto Arredondo Jr.

Humberto, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I began as a casual gamer and realized that this was a passion that I would enjoy doing as a career. It took me some time to get together my equipment over a few years and now it’s about building a fan base that enjoys what I do.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, it has not, struggles always come down to money and time and support. For streamers, you need a good PC and need to invest hours on getting good at games as well as building a fan base. Working full time, having a family and trying to juggle a personal life gets hard when you need to invest in the time to game. As well as not many people support this as a career because they are uncertain the risk is worth the reward.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am an aspiring video game streamer and content creator. I create small clips for Instagram which cover a wide variety of games that I enjoy playing. I specialize in first person shooters FPS games and I believe I am charismatic and have great energy when streaming. What sets me apart is I keep it real, a lot of people turn on the camera and pretend to be something they are not. I go in knowing my flaws and embracing them and hope that people will enjoy watching me for me and not for who I pretend to be.

When you look back, what are you most proud of?
So far, it’s been growing my Instagram page. It started as just a simple page to post clips but I’ve built a small following which I am proud of. Also, would be finally setting up my streaming desk and being able to produce quality streams on Twitch. Growing twitch community as well can be difficult but I am 1 achievement away from becoming a twitch affiliate.
