Meet Holly Carlson of Face It Skincare

Today we’d like to introduce you to Holly Carlson.

Holly, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I always had a passion for skin care, and after working 10 years in social services, I decided to take the plunge and make a complete career change and went to esthetics school.

I began my career working for a large corporation. While it was a great beginning, it made me realize that I wanted to have the ability to do more for my clients and help them see real improvements in their skin. So I decided to go into business for myself.

I found a room to rent out of a salon and Tempe and have never looked back. Two years later I am still in business and am steadily growing each month.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business is never a smooth road but it is certainly a worthwhile road to take. Building clientele is difficult, people have to trust that you will do what is best for them. That can be difficult, but rewarding when people see what you can do for them.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Face It Skincare – what should we know?
I am a licensed esthetician and owner of Face It Skincare. I specialize in anti-aging, dark spot treatments and acne. I also provide eyebrow and face waxing and body treatments. I offer the latest in treatments including dermaplaning, collagen induction therapy and LED light therapy. Each treatment is customized to fit the individual client needs.

I am fortunate to have some amazing clients, and as a business owner I am proud that people trust in my abilities. It is truly an honor to have gained this trust.

What sets me apart is my ability to listen to what my clients are saying and really help them to achieve their skin goals.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I feel that my hard work and my ability to never give up has been key to my success. I am also thankful for all of my clients who continue to put their trust in me, this has been the biggest key my continued growth. That and I love what I do and love sharing my passion.
