Meet Hector Rodriguez of Innovation In Polymers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hector Rodriguez

Hi Hector, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story begins in Mexico in 2005 when I started my professional career in the cement industry. I was working for one of the biggest cement manufacturers in Mexico and the US. Where I helped with the development of new products. Eventually, an opportunity arose in 2016 to work for an American manufacturer company and I moved along with my family to California. I worked at that company for 5 years until I decided it was no longer the path I wanted to follow and I decided to leave and found my own manufacturing and distributing company for construction materials.

Now in 2024, we are one the biggest EPS foam distributors in Northern California and Phoenix. Our facility is located in Sacramento, California but for 2025 we are planning on opening a warehouse in Phoenix, Arizona.

We are expanding outside the construction and chemical industry into agriculture. We take great pride in our ability to provide top-quality construction solutions and we are passionate about what we do, and we know that our products can make a significant impact on a project’s success.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest challenge was starting from scratch and trying to put my own products out there. Knocking door by door trying to get clients and gain their trust to become their main supplier and solution to their construction needs. One of the biggest obstacles has been that we are competing with companies nationwide that have more resources than us.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Innovation In Polymers ?
Our team is dedicated to creating polymer-based products that are perfect for addressing any project. We understand the importance of durability and performance and strive to create products that meet and exceed those standards.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
A lot of people believe I am a chemical engineer but in reality, I have a bachelor’s degree in industrial design.
