Meet Hadiyah Alexander of Phoenix

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hadiyah Alexander.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
From a young age, I displayed a natural talent for organization—my parents recall my knack for order as early as age two. By elementary and high school, I was offering my skills to friends and teachers, which soon expanded to projects for family friends, organizing everything from home offices to kitchens and closets.

Recognizing the potential to turn my passion into a career, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication in 2013 and completed specialized courses with the National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals (NAPO). I then apprenticed with seasoned organizers in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, gaining invaluable hands-on experience.

For the past ten years, I’ve been living my dream as a professional organizing entrepreneur. After nearly three years in a partnership, I launched my own business in 2022, collaborating with subcontractors to fully realize my vision and deliver exceptional solutions for my clients. Today, as my business and network continue to grow through NAPO, I am proud to serve my second year as President of the Arizona chapter.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of the greatest challenges I’ve faced include balancing every role in my business while handling the physical work, ensuring a steady stream of clients, and—most profoundly—continuing to grow my business through seasons of personal grief. Yet each challenge has strengthened my resilience, sharpened my skills, and deepened my commitment to serving my clients and pursuing my passion.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I take a holistic approach to help clients create a well-organized, harmonious lifestyle. Through building genuine rapport, we work together to identify challenges and bring their vision for their home to life. I’m proud to help clients—both in Arizona and beyond—restore balance, regain control, save time, make confident decisions, and open the door to new opportunities. My work goes beyond a single session; many clients become part of my community for life.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Despite working in a highly visual and detail-oriented field, my true focus is on the emotional transformation my clients experience—not just the ‘before and after’ photos. For example, I once worked with a client who had been holding onto decades of belongings after a major life change. As we organized her space, she began letting go not only of physical items but also of the guilt and overwhelm tied to them. By the end of our sessions, she told me she felt ‘lighter’ and finally ready to welcome friends into her home again. That moment meant more to me than any perfectly staged photo ever could.
