Meet Grace Forbes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Forbes.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
As a child, my dream growing up was to be able to help, encourage, and spread love to the world around me. Being raised among exemplary people, in a service-oriented family has helped me in efforts of pursuing my goal. After being exposed to the abundance of suffering in the hearts of the people and world around me, I have been motivated to share the Hope that has found me.

Please tell us about your art.
I have focused primarily on photography not only as a method of expression but for me Photography is a way of being able to encourage others. The photographs that I capture are not only pieces of what I love to do, but also a way of spreading light, hope, and love in the most real way possible. While spreading messages and capturing life’s moments, I pride myself in doing so in genuine, raw, and real ways. Due to a different perspective of perfection, I strive to capture the real, perfect moments. Instead of posing, I enjoy taking a more simple route and strive to portray the beauty that I see. After recently losing my Grandpa, who was my inspiration for finding meaning in life, I want to honor his legacy by pursuing meaning beyond the superficial. By using my photography, my mission, alongside being able to serve, is to spread hope and awareness while translating between the spiritual and the temporal.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing artists today?
Navigating through social media is extremely difficult. With so many people, so many ideas, and such limited opportunities for publicity, It is hard trying to establish yourself as different and unique, while trying to create your own brand of your expression.
