Today we’d like to introduce you to Ginny Solis-Wright.
Ginny, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started in the business 7 years ago. I had always wanted to sell real estate and had a dream many moons ago when I was in my first-year teaching first grade. I was showing the client’s beautiful homes in my dream. I remember waking up and saying I am going to do that one day. After teaching I started one of the largest catering and event companies in the valley for 12 years and one day woke up and decided I didn’t want a life that owned me. I had a friend who was on the board of New Life a domestic violence shelter here in the west valley and she kept bugging me and telling me to get my license. She would say, you would make the best real estate agent. I finally decided it was time and jumped right in. I hit the ground running and never looked back. It was an easy transition for me. I had my first home sold within my first week. I grew up in Litchfield Park and specialize in this area. I know this area like the back of my hand and most homeowners as well. I love our beautiful community. Helping people buy and sell homes is so rewarding. I love helping dreams come true. To see the smiles and sometimes happy tears warms my heart. I feel I was born for this career and thrive on finding that perfect home for my buyers and then finding that perfect buyer for my sellers. I always loved teaching and training and started an unofficial team training and assisting new agents in the business about 5 years ago and launched The Wright Team AZ 2 1/2 years ago. I have surrounded myself with the most amazing individuals that lift and inspire me daily. We are a team of 6 women and we are truly a team and family. We work extremely well together and are there for one another while having a blast along the way. I realize life is short, so work hard to play hard and that is our motto. We always say You Can Never Go Wrong With The Wright Team.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I truly don’t think anything in life is always smooth. The bumps in the roads are what makes us grow and learn. I started on a team in the beginning and transitioning to my own was scary, yet rewarding. I think for any new agent it is best to start on a team. Learn as much as you can and get the support from other individuals. For some staying on a team for the long haul is a great thing and others like to fly solo. I loved starting on a team and then venturing off on my own. My husband travels for work and isn’t home a lot, so I like to travel with him. Well, I did before March. Hopefully, we will get back to normalcy soon, so I can travel again. When I traveled, I would have agents cover for me to show homes, handle home inspections etc. That is why I had an unofficial team and would train new agents. I would pay them for what they did while I was away. I was running my self-ragged and could not keep up and do it all, I was also very scared to start a real team as I would call it. I didn’t want the responsibility like I had with my previous 65 plus employees when I had the catering company. It was all too much. Then I hired a business coach and he asked me why I was giving my time and expertise for free. So, I listened and built the team the way I wanted. There have been many hurdles, tears and bumps, but all worth it.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am the founder of The Wright Team AZ and we specialize in residential real estate in the west valley and northwest valley. Each agent has a specific area they cover and we range from Litchfield Park, Goodyear, Buckeye, Avondale, Surprise, Peoria, and Glendale. We are known as the premier boutique agency and the one-stop-shop to assist our client’s from start to finish in a transaction. We take the stress out of buying and selling their homes.
I think I am most proud that ever since I started in the business, I have grown every year. Our team has been in the top 3 producers for several months these past two years in our office of over 470 agents.
We excel with our agent-client relationships and our team ensures a smooth process from start to finish. We also have very strong relationships with industry partners to ensure a smooth process.
What were you like growing up?
I was an overachiever as a child. Not that, that is a good thing. I had lots of friends and was always the peacemaker in my family and with friends. I loved to read and still do. I always wanted to make others happy. I was active in dance, Pom and cheer, and student government. I thrived on being busy and the more I had on my plate the better I was. I believe I am like that today; except I know how to take time for me now.
