Meet Geena Ribando of Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Geena Ribando.

Hi Geena, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In 2021, like so many others, I was navigating a difficult season of life. I felt lost and unsure of my path—until I began receiving Reiki. Almost immediately, I noticed subtle but powerful shifts within myself. After a few months of sessions, I traveled from Chicago (where I was living at the time) to receive my first Reiki attunement so I could share this gift with others.

As I continued practicing Reiki, my love for the work deepened. I launched Samsara Creations, a jewelry business where I infused each piece with Reiki energy. Along the way, I discovered the healing properties of crystals, fell in tune with energy in new ways, and brought my creations to markets and shows across the Chicagoland area.

In 2023, I received my second attunement and later that year, my Master attunement. With each step, my connection to the spiritual path grew stronger. I expanded my offerings to include both virtual and in-person Reiki sessions, all while continuing to create jewelry that carried energy and intention.

Toward the end of 2023, I experienced a major turning point—a separation from my husband and our partner. Trusting my intuition, I moved to Arizona to be closer to my family. I carried Samsara Creations with me, but by March of this year, I knew it was time for a new chapter. Jewelry had been a beautiful part of my journey, but my heart was calling me toward something bigger: giving back to the community that had supported me through so much.

That’s when Geena Ann Journeys was born. Through this new vision, I began exploring deeper energetic and shamanic practices, weaving spiritual wisdom into everyday life. I became trained in sound healing, cacao facilitation, and different forms of meditation. Today, I guide women’s circles, ceremonies, and programs designed to help others bridge the gap between where they are and where they long to be.

This year has been my greatest blessing yet. I’ve fallen deeper into my purpose, embodied the wisdom I teach, and learned to live with intention and presence.

This work has transformed my life, and my mission is to help others discover the power they hold within themselves. I’m endlessly grateful for every experience that has led me here.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. I’ve battled mental illness, went through a divorce, moved across the country, and completely started my life over from scratch.

My offerings include Reiki, Sound Healing, Shamanic Journey, & yoga nidra.

I believe I’m most known for my monthly sound journeys hosted at Abundant Space in Scottsdale. These ceremonies are donated based- open for any and all in the community who are needing a break from the chaos of life.

I’m most proud of how much I’ve grown personally & within my business. My intentions are pure and staying accessible to the community is something that’s extremely important to me. All of my in person events at this time are donation based and will continue to be as long as it still aligns with my mission.

I believe what sets me apart from others is where I came from and what I’ve been through. Everyone has their own story, their own path that they’ve endured. Mine has 100% made me who I am and I’m grateful & proud of that.
