Meet Garrett Rowe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Garrett Rowe.

Garrett, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Currently, I’m a freelance videographer/editor and an actor/model signed with Leighton Agency and I’m based in Scottsdale, AZ.

It’s crazy 2 years ago I was bartending in Vegas and now I’m freelance video creator and act in Arizona! I was always creating online videos but wasn’t seriously making a living out of it until about 3 years ago. Since, I’ve worked with U.S. Senators, been in a Top Golf commercial, worked on projects with entertainers like Bow Wow, and even created videos for local and international DJs! It’s pretty cool I’ve had the opportunity to meet and work with so many incredible people! It’s crazy how fast life moves and I’m looking forward to what’s next!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Umm… no lol, but anything worth having is going to be hard right? Challenges are just apart of the journey and I have to roll with them. But yeah, I’ve had many obstacles ranging from previous ventures/ideas failing, getting laid off, camera equipment breaking even getting stolen. But really though, I’ve learned you have to expect the unexpected. Plus, taking away all life’s challenges would make life kind of boring right? But it’s really nice to have strong support system made up of family, friends, and mentors to help keep me positive and moving forward. I don’t know where I would be without them.

Tell us more about the business.
I pretty much help people with their videos needs from idea to production, to editing, to a finished project. While delivering professional-quality video with budget-friendly packages. I have a background with social media marketing and creating online videos, so lately I’ve been focusing on creating promotion packages for artists, small businesses, local events, and teams/athletes. Recently, I started to provide video consulting/editing services for people or channels who are able to film themselves and are looking for someone who can come in once in awhile help set up and mainly just edit and brand their recorded footage. Is there something we can do as a city to improve the outlook for businesses like yours?
This city is huge and still growing! That means more video opportunities too! There’s a nice underground music scene here and I like that the culture is diverse. I love the art scene and so many artists and athletes come through Phoenix. I probably wouldn’t have an opportunity to work with such a diverse clientele in many other cities. Phoenix is rapidly changing and we have the chance to grow with it. I’m excited to see where it goes!
