Meet Gabriela Figueroa of Linens By Divinity

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriela Figueroa.

Gabriela, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My husband, Jaime, and I started the Divinity enterprise about 10 years ago. We began as a floral company, Floral Divinity out of our apartment in Mesa, and from there we expanded into the lighting and audio technology event industry that you now know today as Divinity Event Production. We have now expanded a new branch of that business that I run called Linens by Divinity. Between my husband and I, we run 4 businesses and have future plans for a few more!

Linens by Divinity is operated by myself and my amazing executive manager, Meagan Podkulski. She has over 10 years of experience in this industry and she is the former owner of Butterfly events. This business, which started as a family business, has expanded and now employs over 20 employees between all 4 businesses. I strongly believe that we would not have the success we have if it was not for the grace of God and for those that believe in our brand. Our team members are family to us, they are the reason we are here and that we are able to set such high standards in the event industry. I am so grateful for the amount of support we receive through our family, team members, and vendors that we have grown to love and adore.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There had been some growing pains in the initial stages of the expansion of the business which I feel is only natural.

It’s how you use those low points to overcome the challenges of this industry. The challenges I have faced I have allowed to teach me rather than to break me. They have definitely matured me and molded me into the person I am today. It can be easy to let yourself think small because of the fear of failure, or even the fear of making a decision.

But, to accomplish great things in life, you have to be open to taking risks. Whatever challenges may arise, always think and dream big. That way, you will achieve more than you could have ever imagined. Try not to let your thoughts get in your own way. Assess the optimal outcomes and make a plan for how you can achieve them.

We are doing some amazing things in this linen industry and we push the boundaries because you can’t grow to be inside of your comfort zone! I thrive on pushing our limits and seeing the pride on my team’s faces when they accomplish the amazing work they do, it’s an amazing feeling.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Linens By Divinity?
Linens by Divinity is among 4 of our businesses and is event-based. We specialize in venue transformation with our draping! Our ballroom drape allows us to cancel any unwanted colors or structures that interfere with the client’s vision in the event space. We essentially give the client a blank canvas in their venue space. We have a variety of color options and premium drape options that allows the client to cover every inch of the ballroom walls which allows them to achieve the overall look of what they desire.

We also specialize in ceiling drapes, which takes logistics to another level! This is truly a work of art not only in the overall designs but also in the engineering of how to achieve the drape suspended above the room seamlessly.

Another key component that we can accomplish is luxury tent draping. Outside events can look dreamy and luxurious with our draping. We recently just installed full ceiling and wall draping to a 200ft tent for the NFL for the 2023 Super Bowl that was held here in Arizona. It was breathtaking and this was an event that pushed us past our comfort zone and it was so worth it!

Linens by Divinity offers tablescape linens that include premium linens, napkins, chargers, and runners. We have the ability to customize napkins with monograms or even print photographs on them using my other business Kreated Designs by Divinity. We meet all draping and linen needs and we do it to the highest standards.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
We are a big family here at Divinity and our team members are the heart of our company, with out them holding the standards of our brand we wouldn’t be who we are. I am a proud owner of Divinity and I have a big responsibility to be diligent in my work and humble in all I do.
