Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriela Chaidez.
Gabriela, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born in Sonora, Mexico and have resided in Arizona for over 25 years. I am happily married and have two beautiful children. After I had my children, I wanted to dedicate as much time to my family as I could, so I started a home-based online business. I had over ten years of administration experience and I wanted to tie that into my passion for business marketing. I created my company DSODIA to support local businesses with their online social media marketing. I truly enjoy helping clients leverage their social media presence and promotional campaigns to help their businesses grow. Running my own business is challenging with tight deadlines and uncompromising time management skills, but it is worth all the effort.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road from the start. It took me some time to build up my clientele with lots of networking and social media campaigning. It is not easy making time to network all around the valley with no guarantee of connecting with potential clients. Thankfully, the results of participating in workshops, conventions and ongoing networking events have paid off over time. Once I stepped over that hurdle, other challenges that I deal with are maintaining platform training to make sure I am up-to-date with the best online administrative tools for my business.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the DSODIA LLC story. Tell us more about it.
DSODIA focuses on helping businesses increase their online presence with promotional strategies and digital media content. We manage social media campaigns in networks such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and more. We engage with our client audiences helping them build community and trust around their brands. Our strategies and actions increase the opportunity to lead conversions and brand awareness. We have years now working with various types of clients such as non-profits, consulting firms, political campaigns, accounting firms, crowdfunding efforts, local city chambers, realtors and many more. Every company is unique and our focus will be to create memorable custom content.
The difference we make in our client’s businesses is what I am most proud of. We want to continue educating businesses on how to best utilize social media to improve their sales, customer service, and brand loyalty. Our clients gather valuable feedback from the comments and interactions made on their social media accounts daily.

Tell us about your favorite and least favorites things about our city.
What I like best about Phoenix is its diverse population and cultural exhibits. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world that come to enjoy the warm, desert style living Phoenix provides. It is not always easy dealing with over 120-degree weather; however, I will choose that any day over shoveling snow.
