Meet Faye Urlacher of artstudio 101 in Arcadia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Faye Urlacher.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I launched artstudio 101 in 2000. After working for other galleries in the design industry I was determined to open up a boutique style consulting firm that dealt mainly with local artists and was very hands-on with the client.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I have been blessed with very talented people that surround me daily at work as well as wonderful clients so the road has been mostly smooth… and we have gained strength and knowledge from the bumps.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the artstudio 101 ltd. story. Tell us more about the business.
I am proud that we consider each and every project with the same amount of respect and detail. We take into consideration the client, the end user, as well as the aesthetics. We hand hold the project until installation to ensure the vision and expectations were met.

If you had to start over, what would you have done differently? 
I worked for a few other galleries before opening art studio 101. The experiences I had were invaluable and necessary for me to understand what type of business I wanted mine to become. I learn every day still from the clients we work within both the design and corporate arena on factors to take into consideration for the well being of the specialized projects and the people that occupy these spaces.
