Meet Evelyn Vi of Tempe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Evelyn Vi.

Hi Evelyn; we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my modeling career back in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I began as a freelance model and eventually signed to my first agency in New Mexico. I continued to develop my portfolio as a model. I moved out to Tempe, Arizona, where I am now signed to Priority Talent Agency as my mother’s agent and five other agencies!

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As a shorter model, I was fighting an uphill battle regarding getting signed by an agency and even booking jobs. In the industry, it is typical that models are 5’9 or taller, and I stand at 5’5. I learned how to handle and take rejection and continue persisting. If I had given up when I kept hearing “no,” I wouldn’t be where I am today. There is still much room for improvement and inclusivity within the modeling industry, but it gets better daily, and it takes persistent people to keep pushing on.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work primarily as a print and commercial model. I have been in campaigns and ads for brands like JoAnn’s Fabric, Indie Lee, Disney’s Pixarstyle, What Do You Meme? and others! I am proud of each booking I have earned, but I am eternally grateful to the agencies that have believed in me to make this happen. What sets me apart is my drive and passion to pursue. I am relentless in my pursuit to make my dreams come true.
