Meet Eunice Yoo of Stories by Mintysnaps LLC in East Valley – Chandler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eunice Yoo.

Eunice, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I graduated from college with a BFA and have been working as a graphic designer/art director for the past decade. In the process, my passion for storytelling through photography organically grew over the years.

After I was blessed with my twin boys, photography became my full-time love affair and since then, the camera and I have become inseparable. I love how I can capture stories of our lives in the midst of the craziness. I enjoy doing the same for my clients: capturing fleeting moments and turning them into art.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I relocated to Arizona from Michigan last August. It’s been a big undertaking to start my business back up in a new state. I had doubts and felt anxious about starting all over again. But I already see my business growing, and have been so blessed to meet some awesome clients who trust my vision. There’s nothing more amazing than being able to continue my passion and capturing beautiful stories.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Stories by Mintysnaps LLC – what should we know?
I specialize in intimate wedding and family photography. I love to document authentic stories, the ones that make you laugh until your face hurts and a tug at your heart.

I always try my best to make my clients feel comfortable and relaxed with me, really just be themselves in front of the camera. No one feels completely comfortable in front of the camera–it’s my job to loosen them up so I can document the real moments. I believe I differentiate myself from others with my storytelling images and editing style.

From a technical standpoint, I am always learning and investing in education so I can create the best work for my clients!

What do you love about our city and what do you dislike?
I’m still awestruck by the dramatic and gorgeous landscape I’m surrounded by every day. When I have free time, I love exploring the mountains and desert with my little ones. Being a photographer made me more appreciative of the natural beauty around me. If I had to pick one thing I like least about my city, it would be scary insects. Hopefully, I’ll get used to them one day! 🙂
