Meet Ethan Poetic of Lancaster

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ethan Poetic.

Hi Ethan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I grew up in a single-parent household of five and in poverty. The personal challenges did test my character to my deepest core. There was hope ahead in my future for better chapters. I managed to be a former three-sport student-athlete in both middle school & High School. Unfortunately, I had to stop playing sports because the man my mom was dating kept going on a drug and alcohol binge often. This resulted in children’s youth services getting involved, and I had to pick up my toddler sister from the bus stop. Several years later, after graduating from High School, I came across a man named Jordan S. Steffy, founder of Attollo Prep. His vision was to help me pursue higher education, earn a college degree, & be a first-generation college graduate.

March 19th, 2011, I was inside a car on a highway, and suddenly the driver went head-on against an 18-wheeler. I was facing 99% of death vs. 1% of life. The nearest hospital was 35 minutes away, and I should have died from internal bleeding. After emergency surgery, there was uncertainty if I would die on the operating table. One day I woke up under a Christmas list full of prescription medicines; a nurse cried tears of joy, and I was declared a walking, living miracle. There was still a long road to recovery with speech, physical, & occupational therapy. Moving forward, I got a job, graduated from college twice, wrote an autobiography, earned numerous awards, & start my business called Ethan A. Poetic, LLC. The services include being a keynote speaker, life coach, entrepreneur, role model, & Self-published Author.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I had to escape certain people dimming my light and holding me back from growing. I had to testify against my mom in court. She gave money away to a con man on the internet and caused the family to face eviction. My estranged father told his wife to say to me he wouldn’t be helping me get my life back together once I got my driver’s license. He saw me in a new 2016 Honda Civic right out of the showroom.

I did receive help from people to get my driver’s license & I saved up money for a brand new 2016 Honda Civic, right out of the showroom. Once word of mouth traveled back to my dad and his wife. One day my dad saw me with a brand car in coatesville, pa by a tennis court. He regretted not creating a positive memory with me and can’t take any credit for my comeback story.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to become more familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a Keynote Speaker & Self-Published Author empowering people to overcome their adversities and hardships and go from victim to victor. I speak & sell my books at events, schools, & colleges. Some people called me full of courage, fearless, and a true inspiration for the true hero’s comeback story. I’m proud to be a two-time college graduate, cross the finish line at the college graduation ceremony, & become my ancestor’s dream.

I received help from the Attollo Prep Non-Profit organization, my mentor Bob Paul, The Veronis family, & many others. They saw my work to become a success story, determined to do what it takes to win in the game of life, & keep pushing to experience a breakthrough.
