Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica Huerta.

Erica Huerta

Hi Erica, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
About 30 years ago, I came to Arizona to visit my family. I fell in love and never left. The sunshine and the sunsets were just a daily reminder of how beautiful Arizona truly is. I was passionate about Real Estate, so I began my career at one of the largest banks as a Mortgage Loan Officer for 12 years. After that, I transitioned to the other side and became a Realtor. Helping clients achieve their dream of home ownership was so rewarding to me. But I had to leave for a few years and return home to help care for my family, which was great. No regrets. When I returned to Arizona, I worked as a Bank Manager at one of the largest banks for 10 years. It was great for my career, but it wasn’t my passion. Real Estate was always in the back of my mind. I knew I had to return to what I truly loved and was passionate about. So, a few years ago, I decided to return to Real Estate and become a Realtor again. It was the best decision I have ever made. I am now known as “The Lady In Red with Red Carpet Service.” My brand is essential and what I represent. I enjoy helping clients find their dream homes. The best part is my continued relationships with my friends/family clients. It is more than just a transaction for me. Besides my Career as a Realtor, I am an Ambassador for the Glendale Chamber of Commerce and the Peoria Chamber of Commerce. I have met some amazing small business owners throughout the Phoenix area through them. I am also a proud Women’s Council of Realtors West Valley member as the President-Elect for 2024. It is such a great organization for supporting us Realtors. I have been happily married for the past 23 years and love our little French bulldog family. I am truly blessed in my Career and incredibly proud of my journey in life.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth?
For some, life is not a smooth ride. As I have grown in my career, I had to work extremely hard to build my business. As a former loan officer and Realtor, your business is 100% commission, so you must work at it daily. Nothing is handed to you. That is why my relationships are so important to me. Reputation is everything; you only get one shot to make a great first impression. For the careers that I have chosen, we have had the 2008 market crash and Covid over the past few years that had crippled small business owners and homeowners. Everyone is still trying to recover. But if I can help anyone in any way, that is what I do. Giving back is a must.

I appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Lady In Red Realtor with Red Carpet Service?
As a Realtor in the Metro Phoenix, I work mainly with Residential Real Estate. I am known for my Red Carpet Service. That means providing the best possible service to my clients and working with the best vendors/ partners that represent the same standards I do. Excellent Customer Service seems a lost art nowadays, but I pride myself on rolling out the red carpet treatment for my clients or anyone else I work with. When you buy or sell a home with me, I want you to have the best time and enjoy the experience. I handle the rest. I don’t work conventional hours; I work daily, evenings, and weekends when my clients need me. I am a huge supporter of our Military and Veterans. I love helping all of our heroes, teachers, nurses, etc. I specialize in assisting first-time homebuyers as well. I constantly grow my knowledge in Real Estate and continue to educate myself. As a member of the National Association of Realtors, I have earned the following designations: GRI (Graduate of Real Estate Institute), SRES ( Senior Real Estate Specialist), and AHWD (At Home with Diversity). I want to be the best for my clients. Knowledge is power.

Do you have any advice for those just starting?
My advice for those starting is to invest the time to grow your business. You are competing with thousands of other agents. So you have to get up and grind every day. Find what area you are truly passionate about and work on that niche.
