Meet Emina Omeragic of Emina Omeragic Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emina Omeragic.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Emina. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started taking photos at the age of 17. I had my first photoshoot at 18 right before my high school graduation. From there I continued my education at Northern Arizona University where I studied Photography and business management. If you’re wondering using two very different sides of your brain is pretty challenging. In college, I really got to express myself creatively. I loved having a studio at my dispense and models galore. In college, I shot so many people and even ventured into weddings where I truly fell in love. I shot my first wedding back in 2015 — and the rest is history.

Has it been a smooth road?
Hm, love this question. If your road is smooth how much have you really learned? I definitely picked up photography in a non-traditional way but I wouldn’t have it any other way. To be honest, I learned way more in the real world shooting clients and running my business than I ever could in my photography classes. I’ve made mistakes along the way, as anyone would. We are all human. I cherish those mistakes now because they have shaped me into the photographer I am now.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Emina Omeragic Photography story. Tell us more about the business.
My company has the hardest name out there but once you get to know me, you’ll understand why it is so unique. I am pretty unique myself. Pronounced — Eh-mean-ah Oh-mer-ah-g-ic Fo-tah-graph-EE — I specialize in weddings, boudoir, and portraits. I love weddings and they will always hold a very special place in my heart but lately, I have been diving head first in boudoir. Specifically fine art boudoir. I have a special studio I like to use. If you are interested in learned more about boudoir, you can join my ladies only facebook boudoir group. Please inquire via email. Because boudoir is so new I love walking my clients through the whole process so none of their questions so unanswered.

What sets me apart from others is how unique I am and that truly reflects in my brand and my work. I try to make my clients feel as comfortable as possible and bring out the true emotions in the shoot at hand.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Well, my industry is forever changing. When I was growing up, weddings were all the same. Same message, same songs, same colors, traditions, etc. Now everyone is so unique. Different themes, season, colors, ideas. This changes very frequently, which is so interesting. Staying on these trends in easy if you’re ever on Pinterest. No one wedding is every the same just like all of us. No one is the same and therefore I love making your wedding truly feel as unique as you are. In the next five-ten years, I see the industry taking a technical twist. How will this happen? I’m not sure but with all of the technology we have at our fingertips, I am sure we will find a way to incorporate it somehow.
