Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Marioni.
Hi Emily, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In 2022 one of my close friends was turning 40 and I was helping plan her party. I had always wanted to learn how to make balloon decor, so I watched some videos and decorated her party. Over the next year, I brought balloons everywhere! I loved making things a little more special, and found myself daydreaming a lot about events. I was working a corporate sales job full-time that left me drained and unfulfilled. In 2023 I decided to turn my balloon hobby into a business and launched Beloved Balloons. I started advertising on a local social media community group, and things just blossomed from there. Creating the spot where such special memories are captured has brought me so much joy!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have definitely been struggles along the way! Owning a business can be unpredictable – sometimes I will be so busy that I am uncertain I will be able to pull it off, and other times it’s so slow that I question if I even have a business! Outdoor balloon setups can be really challenging with wind and heat, so you learn as you go how to be prepared. I think all my balloon horror stories involve wind!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a balloon stylist! I bring balloons and backdrops to special events. Corporate events, grand openings, baby showers, bridal showers, weddings, and more- special events become a little more special with balloons. I chose the name Beloved Balloons because I treat each event as if it were my own, with love and attention to detail. There is so much talent in the industry, and I am most proud of how much I have grown as an artist and just kept going. When I see the events that I did starting out versus what I am doing now, I love seeing the progress.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I am an eternal optimist. I like to see the bright side of everything. I am resilient with a positive mindset, and I think that has been so important to my success.
