Meet Emily Kaye of Landmark Capital Mortgage

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Kaye.

Hi Emily, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a Licensed Mortgage Loan Officer at Landmark Capital Mortgage. I love helping people and enjoy making my client’s dreams come true by helping them save money and become homeowners. How did it all start? My husband Zachary Wiss is a local real estate agent at North&Co and during the last few years, I’ve watched him interact with all of his clients and help so many people. Watching him make a difference in so many people’s lives sparked a very big interest in the real estate market for me.

I wanted to do something to complement his career. So with no experience, I decided to jump headfirst into the mortgage business and haven’t looked back since. I am now helping my clients which are first-time home buyers, seasoned owners saving money on refis, growing families upgrading to bigger homes, and so much more! I have a strong passion for working with investors as my husband and I are local investors specializing in fix-and-flips and new construction. I absolutely love what I do and feel so lucky to have the opportunity!

If you knew my background you would never guess that I would be doing what I am doing now! I am a professional musician by trade and have been performing my entire life. With a degree in music education, teaching voice, piano, and guitar has been a passion of mine for many years. I owned and operated a music lesson studio in Scottsdale for ten years, where I had hundreds of students walk through my doors. I am also a fan of the stage and have performed all over the world in many different genres of music including jazz, big bands, choral, pop, and country.

My latest endeavor has been becoming a professional voiceover artist. I have had the pleasure of being the voice of many local and nationally recognized companies and enjoy bringing a company or character to life! Most recently, I have had the joy of combining my biggest passions, real estate, and voiceovers and being the voice of real estate home tour videos. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I am lucky to be able to say it has been a smooth road thus far. The toughest part has been completely switching careers with absolutely no experience in my new field. It took a lot of courage to be able to overcome my fears and jump right into the mortgage industry with zero background or knowledge of what to expect. Luckily my strong will and strive for excellence have led me down a path to success. There is still so much I want to accomplish and billboards to strive to be on!

I am always up for taking risks! My motto in life has always been, you never know unless you try! Taking risks in life has led to some pretty fantastic things in my life. I took a huge risk when I decided to jump to a new career and I have never looked back!
