Emily and Alejandra, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Ems & Alej Boutique is an online only store that was initiated by us, two sisters (Emily & Alejandra), who love and are passionate about beauty, fashion and business. Ems & Alej Boutique was born in October of 2019. After a lot of research, business trips, choosing our unique style and shooting our own merchandise we finally went live January 1st, 2020.

We did not start with thousands of dollars, and everything is packaged from one of the living rooms at our parents house in El Mirage, Arizona. It is not always pretty and perfect but the love we have for uplifting women and being able to create makes up for it all. Almost a year later, we continue to invest in high-end finishes to make your purchase a true representation of affordable luxury. With hard work and dedication, we have made it our goal to expand Ems & Alej Boutique nationwide. Our customers mean the world to us, without them, we wouldn’t be where we are now. Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting up a business in the year that a global pandemic hit was a struggle but nonetheless we’ve been lucky enough to have a smooth road along the way thus far. Although, one major struggle for us definitely was the legal part of running a business. Making sure we were set up for success and not missing any needed paperwork.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Ems & Alej Boutique – what should we know?
We are a women online boutique, and seek all the latest trends and styles at an affordable price for every season. Are most proudest moment is branding our company name and making sure each and every order is received as a special gift from us.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
We feel like having a positive mindset is a must for any small business that is starting off and definitely being consistent to our audience.
