Meet Elizabeth and Scott Quinn of Skyline Real Estate in North and Central

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth and Scott Quinn.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Elizabeth, Scott. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
After a few years of working for Architects, Engineers, Planners, and Builders doing the design work and site inspections Scott realized he had very little say in the end product. In 1996 Scott started as a realtor and teamed up with a Mentor that had many connections. Working tireless for months Scott and his Mentor were able to put together large master plan community subdivision development agreements.

On their way to a meeting with their largest land holder, the Mentor stated he changed the commission from 10% to 12% for the land contract that the Farmer would not mind due to being a good friend of his. Upon arriving the Mentor and the Farmer hugged for some time and chatted about the good old days. After sitting down the Mentor handed the contract to the Farmer. Within minutes the Farmer stood up and said “Greed kills all deals” as he threw the contract at the Mentor then stormed out to his tractor.

Scott saw millions of dollars disappear before his eyes and years’ worth of work disappear. The thousands of acres, the multiple subdivision plans, master plans, and endless meeting with builders were all for not now. Scott learned that day that “Greed Kills All Deals” and that his focus needed to be on people rather than the greed of a deal.
In the summer of 1992, Scott and Elizabeth met in Colorado where they were both working in the resort industry. Twenty-Five years later they have had several successful companies and three wonderful children.

With a goal to work together in real estate doing what they love, Scott and Liz desired to share their passion of real estate with others. Over the years of developing Quinn United Enterprises a wireless communications company and Quinn Realty a property management company, they began to realize that there was a distinct need for certain real estate services they originally did not foresee, primarily in the residential redevelopment field and passive income. So they decided to create a set of companies – where in collaboration with one another, they would offer a package of real estate services under one large umbrella, known as “Skyline Real Estate.”

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Working, living, socializing and partnering with your spouse can have its challenges and there are days that the struggle can be real, however it can also be extremely rewarding. We’ve had to learn to know when to talk business and when to shut the business down and be husband and wife. By establishing systems, building a great team and having a routine with daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly business meetings it makes distinguishing those roles better. Also by each of us having designated responsibilities within our business and respecting each other’s decision making within that role, we can work together fairly efficiently and happily. By working together we’re each other’s greatest cheerleader and get to share in the satisfactions of our work and a job well done. We get to benefit in helping others out of a stressful situation, creating job opportunities for our work crew and providing beautiful homes for our new homeowners.

QUE felt it important to create Skyline Real Estate and use it to better understand its client’s real estate needs utilizing a proven system specializing in the residential redevelopment field of Real Estate.

Since its inception, QUE has passionately pursued the goal of Real Estate and by creating Skyline Real Estate we can now take a more individual approach to helping people in our community find an answer to their personal and residential real estate needs. Through the years, we have developed a solid foundation of real estate knowledge, with the integrity to follow up on promises and make successful deals happen.
