Today we’d like to introduce you to Elisia Reynoso
Hi Elisia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I elisia reynoso was the youngest of 2 until 2016 we had a little sister, we’ve been raised in Phoenix our whole lives. I was always the introvert child, never felt like I belonged in school and home. In 2013 my dad was able to purchase our project car, 1976 cutlass supreme, that’s where I fell in love we were in a car club, got to do multiple shows and that’s where I got to express my drawing, that’s where I felt like I fit. I always traced the plaque names, always tried drawing my car. I fell in love with being able to express my happiness and my creativity throughout drawing. I knew since I was younger I wanted to run my own business and be my own boss, knowing I had a deep love for old school classics or lowriders, I wanted to be able to create things that I can see people wearing around the lowrider shows and community, so that’s where I came out with King Oso, custom lowrider clothing brand, street wear for the Chicano community, or anyone really. King oso came from my last name, REYnOSO , in English it’s KINGnBEAR. That looked a little funny so I took time and came up with KING OSO which fit perfectly with everything, bears are known for their impressive appearance, though I am not big now I see my self leaving a remarkable print on the lowrider and Chicano community.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been an easy start up, from someone who has nothing to help them up and start the business I had to trademark my own name and get all the necessities needed to start it. There has been big dips in my road I am still yet to have everything perfectly the way I need it.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I create custom art work for the lowrider and Chicano community, with my own lowrider and also different cars and images. I am known for being a young female car owner and super proud of myself to be able to up and start my own business by myself. I may not be the best yet but I do know I will soon leave a mark on all and be known for my car and creations that I put out to the community .
Any big plans?
Plans for the future are to be able to be known for being a female owned business and lowrider. My plan is to be able to get my own creations and designs out to the world. Everyone where I’m in car shows, schools, and clubs. From doing it by myself printing pressing, I plan on being able to have a manufacturer do it all for me and maybe be the one to ship out to all my customers.
