Hi Edgar, We are so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Becoming a plastic surgeon in Mexico has been rigorous and fulfilling. It began with obtaining my medical degree from a reputable medical school, where I received comprehensive training in various aspects of medicine, including surgery. Following my medical degree, I pursued a residency program initially in General Surgery and then a second residency program tailored explicitly to plastic surgery. This program provided me with hands-on experience and exposure to a wide range of surgical procedures, both cosmetic and reconstructive. I worked alongside experienced plastic surgeons, learning advanced techniques and honing my surgical skills.
In addition to my residency, I sought out specialized training courses and workshops to further enhance my expertise in specific areas of plastic surgery. These courses covered facial rejuvenation, body contouring, and breast augmentation. Continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in the field have always been paramount to me. Moreover, I actively participated in medical conferences, seminars, and international journal paper publications, where I engaged with leading experts and exchanged insights with peers in the plastic surgery community. These events expanded my knowledge and allowed me to stay abreast of emerging trends and innovative approaches in plastic surgery.
Furthermore, I underwent rigorous examinations and evaluations to obtain board certification in plastic surgery, which is a testament to my commitment to upholding the highest patient care and safety standards. My training and preparation as a plastic surgeon in Mexico have equipped me with the skills, knowledge, and dedication necessary to deliver exceptional results and provide patients with the highest quality of care.
Has it been a smooth road? If not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced?
Establishing myself as a reputable plastic surgeon in a competitive field posed challenges. I was building trust with patients and earning a positive reputation, which required consistently delivering high-quality care and maintaining open communication. Despite these challenges, each obstacle strengthened my resolve and reaffirmed my passion for plastic surgery. It has been a rewarding journey filled with growth, opportunities, and the privilege of impacting my patients’ lives.

I specialize in various procedures, focusing on rhinoplasty, facial rejuvenation surgery, and body contouring procedures. Rhinoplasty is one of my areas of expertise. Whether refining the nasal profile, correcting breathing issues, or enhancing facial harmony, I am dedicated to delivering natural-looking results that align with each patient’s unique facial features and desires. Facial rejuvenation surgery is another cornerstone of my practice. From facelifts and eyelid surgery to brow lifts and non-surgical treatments like Botox and dermal fillers, I aim to help patients achieve a refreshed, youthful appearance while preserving their natural beauty and expressions. Body contouring procedures, including liposuction, tummy tucks, and body lifts, are also areas where I specialize. Whether patients seek to sculpt their figures after significant weight loss or address stubborn pockets of fat, I offer personalized treatment plans to help them achieve their aesthetic goals. What I’m most proud of is the trust and satisfaction of my patients. It’s gratifying to witness the positive impact that plastic surgery can have on their confidence and quality of life. Knowing that I’ve played a role in helping them look and feel their best is truly gratifying. My commitment to personalized care and attention to detail sets me apart. I take the time in my office to listen to patients’ concerns, understand their goals, and tailor treatment plans that address their needs.
