Meet Ebony Ramirez of AZ Confetti Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ebony Ramirez

Hi Ebony, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always loved any excuse to throw a party—birthdays, the Super Bowl, Taco Tuesday—you name it! And you better believe I’ll have everything coordinated, down to the smallest detail. My mom says I inherited my passion for hosting from my grandmother, who always had an extra seat at her table just in case someone stopped by.

Since becoming a mom (shoutout to all the boy moms!), nothing brings me more joy than planning my kids’ birthday parties. I mean, you only turn each age once, so you should celebrate accordingly! In 2022, while planning the BIG first birthday for my youngest son, I realized there still weren’t many developmentally appropriate and aesthetically pleasing party options for toddlers. I have two older boys, ages 9 and 12, and there are plenty of options for them, but for the little ones? Slim pickings. So, I decided, “If I can’t find an option, I’ll create one.” And just like that, the idea for Little Confetti Company—now AZ Confetti Co.—was born.

Little Confetti officially launched in January 2023, but honestly, that’s about all that happened. Between working full-time in ministry, juggling dinner, homework, and sports schedules, I didn’t have much time to dedicate to the business. After sitting inactive for almost a year, my supportive (yet slightly frustrated) husband finally asked, “So, what’s the deal with your business?”

I’m a serial entrepreneur (another family trait I inherited), I’ve started—and quit—a few things since we’ve been married. But I knew this dream was different, and I wasn’t ready to give up on it just yet. After LOTS of prayer and deep conversations with my husband, we decided to take a HUGE leap of faith and dive headfirst into the business. I left my job in November 2024 and started 2025 with new vision, determination and no plan B.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest struggles are mostly mental— I’ve really had to work on shifting to a more positive mindset when it comes to self confidence, putting myself out there and not taking the “no’s” personally.

As you know, we’re big fans of AZ Confetti Co.. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
AZ Confetti Co. is all about bringing fun and flair to every celebration! What truly sets us apart is the variety of services we offer— Specializing in event rentals designed just for the little ones our offerings include tables and chairs, bounce houses, ball pits, bumper cars, and soft play setups. We also provide, balloon garlands, backdrops, helium balloons, a photo booth, and 3ft neon marquees. We’re a one-stop shop for unforgettable events.

One of the things I’m most proud of is how our business has grown primarily through word of mouth. A referral from a past client is the highest form of flattery, and it’s such an honor that people trust us to be part of their special moments.

Whether it’s a birthday, baby shower, wedding, or corporate event, we believe all of life’s milestones are worth celebrating in a BIG way. Our goal is to be your go-to event company for years to come. At the end of the day, we’re here to make celebrating easy and stress-free, so you can focus on making lasting memories.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Networking is definitely something I need to work on. If the idea of walking into a networking event where you know absolutely no one makes you want to throw up, same here! Instead of forcing yourself into intimidating situations, try connecting with people just outside your immediate circle—friends of friends, fellow parents, or anyone you naturally have something in common with.

For me, that meant getting involved with my kids’ school PTO. It’s given me the perfect opportunity to practice starting natural conversations and build relationships in a space I’m comfortable in. I’m learning networking doesn’t have to be scary—it’s really just about making genuine connections, one conversation at a time!
