Hi Ebony, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Hi, my name is Ebony Bateman, and I am known as Bonny Divine. From a young age, I felt a sense of uniqueness and talent within myself. At 15, I got my first camera, sparking a passion for videography. I literally documented every aspect of my life, from silly videos to heartfelt moments, often involving friends and neighbors to be a part of my videos!

My creativity extends beyond the camera lens; I also love expressing myself through writing and music. I would write down my thoughts and transform them into songs, discovering my gift for both singing and rapping along the way.

As I matured, my hobbies evolved into a potential career path. I ventured into product reviews on YouTube, particularly focusing on wigs, eventually gaining recognition and receiving free products for my honest assessments. This realization ignited my ambition – what if I could turn my passions into a livelihood?

Taking a leap of faith into freelancing, I pursued opportunities as a brand ambassador, model, and UGC creator. I have embraced my multifaceted talents, continuing to create music while expanding my presence in the digital realm. My latest EP, “Beautifully Sacred,” reflects my journey.

Grateful for the opportunities I have been given, I acknowledge the role of faith and perseverance in my success. I am blessed to share my dreams and passions with the world, embodying the essence of my name, Bonny divine – which I am truly divine.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey wasn’t without its challenges.

Self-doubt often crept in because of a lack of support from those closest to me. This left me questioning my abilities and contemplating giving up on dreams multiple times. Additionally, I hung out with the wrong crowd, which led to unsafe situations and personal consequences.

Making poor decisions and neglecting self-care further complicated my path. There were even times when I pushed myself too hard, experiencing burnout and exhaustion. Despite the hardships, I persevered.

While I acknowledge my challenges, I see how they contributed to my growth and maturity. I am not perfect, but I have transformed in many ways for the better! My journey serves as a testament to the power of perseverance and self-belief. I thank God for being there every step of the way.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a brand ambassador, my role extends beyond just promoting products – it’s about embodying the essence of each brand I represent. I receive products from multiple businesses, creating videos and modeling their products to help their businesses thrive.

Modeling has always been a passion of mine. Whether taking photos of myself or collaborating with photographers around town, I love capturing moments that showcase the beauty of the products I endorse.

As a UGC creator, I craft engaging videos for businesses. Whether provided with a script or given creative freedom, I strive to deliver content that resonates with audiences and elevates the brand’s message.

Music is another avenue through which I express myself. As a singer-songwriter, I create positive, uplifting songs that touch on topics like overcoming struggles, self-love, and spirituality. My music serves as a light of hope and inspiration for those who listen.

GODisNOTaCHURCH, a movement my husband and I founded to challenge the notion that God is limited to a physical space. Having been deeply involved in traditional church settings, we grew to understand that God’s presence transcends any building.

As we matured, we recognized that God resides within us, making us the embodiment of the divine. GODisNOTaCHURCH welcomes those who have felt excluded or unworthy in religious spaces, offering a message of inclusivity and a pathway to a deeper, personal connection with God. We created this platform to represent the truth that God is not confined to a church – God is within us all.

What sets me apart is my energy – a beautiful divine energy that I thank God for every day. Despite my imperfections, I radiate positivity and strive to see the good in everything. I connect with others on a deep level, leaving a lasting impression wherever I go.

My smile, I believe, holds the power to heal. It’s a gift that I’m grateful for, and I aim to share its warmth and positivity with everyone I encounter. In all that I do, from modeling to creating content, my energetic presence shines through, leaving a positive impact on those around me.

What matters most to me revolves around the core values that shape my life and define my existence.

First and foremost, my relationship with God holds the utmost significance. God’s presence in my life has given me immeasurable blessings, provided me with wisdom, and served as a steadfast companion through even the darkest of times.

My Husband, The love and support of my husband. He stands as my unwavering supporter, my rock, and my confidant. Our bond is built on unconditional love, and together, we’ve grown and transformed, navigating life’s challenges hand in hand.

My health is a cherished blessing, a reminder of the precious gift of life itself. Despite facing numerous close calls, I am alive and thriving, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.

Family holds a special place in my heart. Through the highs and lows, they’ve also helped shape me into the person I am today.

Gratitude permeates every aspect of my being. It has opened doors, shifted my perspective, and infused my life with abundance and joy.

Above all, love is the driving force that propels me forward. Whether it’s giving love, receiving love, or cultivating self-love, its power to uplift and transform never ceases to amaze me.
