Meet Dwayne Brock of Brock Healing Arts Center in North Phoenix

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dwayne Brock, Reiki Master Teacher, Psychic/Medium.

Dwayne, before we jump into specific questions about your work, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I knew from a very young age that I was gifted as a psychic medium. As a child, I used to have conversations with people who had crossed over. My mother thought they were imaginary friends and was encouraged by our family physician to let me continue as a way to develop my imagination. Little did they know, they were not imaginary at all… they were real souls who had passed and knew that I could communicate with them. As a teenager, I became interested in other pursuits so I wasn’t as receptive to the spirit world. I was involved in rodeo and other activities that young adults are generally involved in which lessened my attention to my psychic abilities.

Fast forward to young adulthood… I was now involved in law enforcement and started noticing some strange things happening. One time in particular, I was on a call looking for a suspect that had broken into a warehouse. A young Native American woman told me that she had seen a man go into the side door of the warehouse and warned me that the man had a sawed-off shotgun. She was concerned for my safety and wanted me to be careful. I told her to wait by the patrol car so that she would not be in danger herself. I called for backup to come. We entered the side door that she had indicated and found the suspect hiding in a room. Interestingly, the man did have a shotgun just as she had informed me. We apprehended the suspect and I returned to my patrol car to thank the young lady for giving me the information that may have saved my life. I was surprised to find that she was nowhere to be found. I asked others at the scene if they knew where she had gone. No one else had seen the woman at my car. They all said that there never had been a woman standing by my car. I was perplexed by this at the time but had to attend to my duties that night and dismissed the whole episode.

A few weeks later, I was waiting to apprehend suspects that were being chased in my direction. I needed to cross a bridge on foot and again, the same Native American woman was there and warned me about a huge rattlesnake laying at the other end of the bridge. I cautiously crossed the bridge and sure enough, there was a huge rattlesnake at the end. I turned around to thank her and once again, there was no one there. Now, I was starting to wonder what in the heck was going on. One time is a coincidence, two times is definitely something.

At this time, my Uncle was very involved in the Metaphysical world. I decided to ask him about these two experiences. He told me that she was obviously a Spirit Guide that was sent to help me. After that, I started to pay more attention to messages sent from the other side.

Quite a few years passed and my wife and I were involved in a very serious car accident. We were hit by a drunk driver. I sustained injuries from that accident that were causing me daily pain. One of our neighbors at that time, suggested I check out Reiki healing. I was not familiar with what Reiki was but was willing to try anything. I decided to take training to become a Reiki Practitioner. That turned out to be a huge turning point for me. During the Reiki training, I noticed that my psychic abilities started to return in full force. I once again was open to communication from the other side.

I decided to pursue more training in developing my psychic skills so I attended different workshops and took online courses to increase my awareness and develop my gifts. It was at one of the workshops where I heard about a group called Find Me. This group is run by an ex-DEA agent and is comprised of psychics from all over the world and we work cases worldwide. Find Me takes on cold cases involving missing persons and murders, that law enforcement has not been able to solve, at no charge to the families involved. Wow! This sounded like something I could really get behind. I decided to join the group and looked at it as a way to give back to humanity while honing my psychic skills. To date, I have worked cases that took place in our country, Canada, England, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, and India. I am in 2 different books detailing some of the case stories for Find Me and was interviewed by the ASU school paper for my work on the Jack Culolias case (Jack was an ASU student who drowned in Tempe Town Lake and the Find Me Group located his body). Recently, I was actually interviewed on a Japanese television show pertaining to the case we worked there. That was quite an experience!

I have been with Find Me now going on ten years. Most of the time, I am able to work cases sitting from the comfort of my home or office. Once in a while though, I am called out to be a part of actual searches for missing persons such as senior citizens who have wandered off. My work with this extraordinary group has been very rewarding and has helped to fine tune my skills. I love it when we are able to solve a case and give closure to a family, especially since the family does not pay a dime. All of the members of the Find Me Group work on a volunteer basis, none of us are paid for our services.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There have definitely been struggles along the way. You have to learn how to protect yourself from negative energies. Sometimes, I will actually experience what the person experienced as they were dying. You have to learn how to tell if the information you are receiving is accurate or if you are bringing your own expectations into it.

There is also the stigma of being a psychic medium. So many people are afraid of the work I do because they are taught that it is the work of the devil. Obviously, I disagree with this statement, but nonetheless, I do get judged by others who don’t understand what I do. I am a Christian and feel that my connection to God has grown and deepened with the development of my skills. I use my abilities for the highest good and feel that the help I give to grieving families is immeasurable. I am not out to take advantage of people, my only intention is to help those in need.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am a Reiki Master Teacher, Crystal Healer, Certified Angel Card Reader and Psychic Medium. I practice many other forms of healing as well but am best known for my Reiki and Psychic Medium skills. Dan Baldwin is a local writer that has written three books about the Find Me Group and the cases we have worked on. I am actually listed in two of those books (They Are Not Yet Lost and The Psychic Detective Guide Book). I am very proud of the work I do through the Find Me Group because of the way it can help families heal. I think what sets me apart from others is my law enforcement background. Because of this training, I am able to see cases through the eyes of the criminal I am trying to get information on. This allows me to interpret the information in a different way than other non-law enforcement psychics can.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I have studied under such renowned psychics as Lisa Williams, James Van Praagh and John Edward. All of these amazing psychics have helped me grow and develop my skills. Kelly Snyder is the head of the Find Me group and I appreciate him giving me the opportunity to work with this wonderful group. Dan Baldwin included me in 2 of his books about the Find Me group which was a great honor. But most of all, my wife Shelley is my biggest cheerleader and is always there encouraging me to grow and learn and develop more. She is so supportive of my passion to be a part of the Find Me group and believes just as I do that my work there is so very important.
