Meet Donna Sparaco of LegalShield

Today we’d like to introduce you to Donna Sparaco.

Donna, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The part of THIS story, because we all have so many, starts a few months before we found out my husband was sick. I had just learned about FB live and started showing up with all kinds of dating advice in 5-minute intervals. Since I wrote a book about dating, (DATING: It’s Not Personal) it was a natural fit… a few weeks later, we found out there was an issue but throughout all the dr appointments and follow-ups, I just kept doing my daily live video…and never stopped.

As soon as we found out the severity of the situation, I became a fund-raiser, as it was my husband’s desire to get immunotherapy treatment in Mexico. In the midst of all of this, people started following me, but not really. I came to understand months later that they were following hope. Pietro was showing great improvement and people from around the world were rooting for him. For us. In November of 2016, my husband died almost instantly of a heart attack and stroke. A piece of me died with him that day.  I had no idea, but people were waiting for me to come back. They were waiting to see what I was going to do.

Today, 2.5 half years later, people are still following Daily Dose A Donna and her message. They want to see raw and real and that’s who Donna is. She is vulnerable and raw and deliberate and she shows up. She’s in love again and isn’t afraid to walk in that. My depth of love has no fear of loss, as I will always look for love where it is, not where it isn’t.

Today, I continue to deliver the message of deliberate intention and am figuring out how to take Daily Dose A Donna to a place where she can reach the masses.  It is my inherent desire to leave people better than the way I found them and to inspire them to action. Success is never complete so stay tuned!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

The rough road and obstacles were the catapult that brought me to my life’s purpose.  After my husband passed away, my mother called and said to me, “Donna, your path will unfold in front of you.  You just walk it.”  And that’s what I have been doing.  Daily Dose A Donna and the early stages of my next book about grieving and sex.  I have to say how blessed I am to have my mother in my life.  What an amazing woman.

I was DOING what others saw as courage. When we have challenges or disappointments, we get to see what we’re really made of and I take that very seriously. I’m not just a positive person, I am an incurable optimist.

The difference here, is not only was I living it, I was filming it. LOL People started reaching out and sharing their thoughts about Dose A Donna.  Some people referred to me as a reality show. Others saw me as a ministry.  wow.  Me? I was just trying to feel better because I hated how awful I felt. I didn’t want to wait for happiness to find me. I wasn’t willing to accidentally trip over it.  I wanted to deliberately reach for it. I wanted to be intentional about setting my dial TO IT. Dose A Donna’s message has been to “Set your dial to JOY.”  And I have.

Please tell us about LegalShield.
Self empowerment begins with ‘self.’  I am a very proud LegalShield Associate for eight years and counting. In the midst of it all, my legal plan saved me time and money in countless areas, and since I also recruit, my brokerage or team was still working their businesses.  That was a life saver!  It afforded me time to focus on my husband and his needs and still have money coming into my bank account.

And again, that “logo” was an organic happening simply because she hated that she felt so different on the inside, but looked the same on the outside. Thus, the red was instinctively and deliberately placed in her hair, never to be gone again. It grew organically, without much thought, although I heard the message loud and clear as I was staring at myself in the mirror while getting my hair done. I always listen to my inner voice.

What has been the proudest moment of your career so far?
My proudest moment is in front of me 🙂
