Meet Destiny Watson of So Unique Entertainment

Today we’d like to introduce you to Destiny Watson.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
SO UNIQUE ENTERTAINMENT LLC started off as a company solely for modeling purposes (So Unique marketing and management consulting hint SUMMC @souniquemmc) but has expanded over into management for models and artists. I have gone in-depth on learning the business side of many different areas and look to help the creatives that come through So Unique establish the ways to financial freedom and have a full space for creativity. I am one that can easily fit in rooms and bring knowledge on different topics or can find the answers when needed and warranted.

The company’s vision is focused on incorporating art and mental health services to help give light to the world around each person via workshops and seminars. Affiliating and connecting with brands and other businesses to help models and artists rise within the industry. Music and Model Management Label and Consulting Services connecting individuals to jobs and people. I have So Unique Artists blog via Blogspot, DOSE podcast, and trademarked my own brand with some help from a source.

People come to me for advice for themselves and look my way for blueprints yet I am still learning and growing. Management Consulting is the practice of offering business executives third party advice, expertise, and support with the aim of enhancing the business’s performance resulting in an overall increase in the value of the business. Researching and collecting data to investigate and solve specific client problems.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Prior to establishing the LLC, I modeled for many and Covergirl through Slate Models but realized I needed a manager or someone reliable to be with me to stay focused outside of the party scene and make sure business was right so that was the big downfall back in 2013 or so. I hit a low point but am bouncing back and finding new ways to gain revenue and capital which is where ecommerce comes into play. I have downtime now to strategize with others and come up with future plans.

Please tell us about So Unique Entertainment LLC.
The thing that sets apart So Unique Entertainment is that it is more than just music but advocacy for mental health. Being able to place a counselor or whatever is needed with an artist and others in the industry is the goal. I am most proud of establishing a reputation behind the business and indie music blog that is noticed and growing. Things will align over time. Ecommerce, Photography, Music management and marketing/promotions. Personally, I am known for modeling on runways and promotions but now music. I was able to place an artist out of Virginia into a playlist of someone, a dear friend, that shops to music supervisors so that is always great. I began to start artist socials but that was stopped due to the pandemic.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Took a class offered by Daymond John and studied Grant Cardone so I am strategizing and have moved on some investments but nothing too big as of now. Those big items will come later. My other mentors and role models know who they are and will be left from these pages. 🙂 My mom is my ultimate supporter and my best friend Courtney. I’d like to thank every photographer I have worked with and AllN1Ent for bringing artist, Rudeboymedicci, under their wing in Orlando, Fl. Leighton is a photographer I have shot with plenty of times. My favorite picture captured off guard was with Emily Trosclair taken by WorldRedEye. The virus has stopped some things but this time will help with planning.
