Meet Destiny Liley of Good Ground Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Destiny Liley.

Hi Destiny, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In 2020 I was living in LA when the pandemic hit. I moved to AZ to be near my parents and get away from LA for a bit until things “calmed down.” Since I was so new to AZ and knew no one, I tried to find a pandemic hobby like many. I turned to YouTube and taught myself how to make soap. After a few chemical burns, I pivoted to essential oils and candles, which seemed to take off!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been fairly smooth?
It has seemingly been a smooth road! Getting started, in the beginning, is rough because you’re teaching yourself how to be a business owner, which was foreign to me. Understanding pricing, branding, marketing, etc., can be challenging when you’re in charge.

I offer handmade natural soy candles! All of my scents are memory-based and reminiscent of a particular time in my life that I hope to share with others!
