Today we’d like to introduce you to Desi Feind.

Hi Desi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Thank for having me. I am the owner and creator of Earth Goddess Gems, a metaphysical gift shop.

My passion for creating and designing started at an early age in Santa Fe, New Mexico; watching my mother create handcrafted art, home decor, and jewelry. I debuted my first line of handcrafted jewelry Desi Feind Designs in 2014 at Regina’s Boutique in Santa Fe. My creativity served as an outlet for my imagination, spending countless hours sketching, clay sculpting, creating ceramic arts, crocheting, glass blowing, and designing handcrafted jewelry.

In February of 2022 I rebranded, launching Earth Goddess Gems. I expanded my product offerings to include bath/shower ritual soaks, gem oil elixirs, gemstone pet charms, and crystal infused uplifting aura sprays. Additionally, I became a silversmith to create one-of-a-kind sterling silver pieces and make celebration of life jewelry. This year I launched a new website and released monthly and quarterly subscription boxes.

I am also excited to share Earth Goddess Gems’ products can also be found at Local Gather in Mesa, AZ; with plans to add additional store locations soon.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have found some success naturally, but finding the right audience and markets for my products has been one of the biggest challenges. Being that Earth Goddess Gems is a metaphysical gift shop it typically does not fit in a traditional category that markets have wanted.

Additionally, it has been difficult to find markets that are reasonably priced and also promote local small businesses. While some markets are very good, there sometimes is a lack of knowledge/experience, communication, and lack of tech savviness in other markets. While there is a demand, there seems to be a gap in spiritual, wellness, holistic and metaphysical markets in the Phoenix area.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I love creating and connecting with my heart and gaining artistic inspiration from the beauty of nature. I enjoy working with flowers, herbs, and essential oils to create products that are good for you and the environment combining the goodness of nature with the power of intention. All of the ingredients in my products are natural, organic and food-grade quality. I grow my own organic roses, hibiscus, rosemary, sage, lavender, and camomile. For my gem infused products, I incorporate the use of natural gemstone crystals and energetic infusion with the use of intentions, lunar energy, and sound frequencies.

As a metaphysical gift shop, Earth Goddess Gems offers an array of items. We offer gemstone pet charms that help pets with the power of crystal energy to support them with loving and healing vibrations. We offer other products to tap into your inner wisdom and empower yourself with the use of intention, and ritual products that you can integrate into your daily routine. I encourage those that wear my jewelry to feel as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside expanding their light and magic. My products are handmade and crafted with the highest quality ingredients and materials.

My celebration of life jewelry pieces are custom-made to honor and serve as a reminder of the love and connection that endures beyond the physical presence of a loved one or pet. I work with loved ones to create a one-of-a-kind jewelry piece that incorporates personal elements from the one who has passed such as a fingerprint, locks of hair, or ashes. Each piece is deeply personal, uniquely telling their loved one’s story. My intention is to create a meaningful heirloom that can be passed down, keeping your loved one’s memory alive. I am humbled, honored, and proud to serve my customers and celebrate their remarkable loved ones.

Our zodiac and intentional bath/shower ritual line and gem oil elixirs were created to promote beauty, confidence. They can uplift, relax, or heighten your frequency and promote a deeper connection to yourself and the power of your thoughts and intentions. We also carry dried floral wands and crystal-infused aura sprays to cleanse and remove negative or stagnant energy in your aura that can be used on yourself, linens, and in sacred spaces.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
The metaphysical & spiritually inspired industry is growing and is on the rise. I have witnessed many people wanting to “go back to their roots.” This has created a market of people wanting to purchase supplies, spiritual tools, and rituals they can incorporate into their daily lives to bring in love, create prosperity, and use products that are all-natural and good for themselves and mother earth too.
