Dennis “Rock” Boboc, has been a musician/singer/Band Leader since he could walk! Rock became a producer in 2017 and is now focused on helping other artists achieve their goals in the music industry. 808AD works with artists to cultivate and develop their careers, both artistically and financially.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Never a smooth road but definitely a focus and determined road. Our passion fuels us.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about 808 Artist Development – what should we know?
There was a time when record labels committed themselves more seriously to developing the careers of their recording artists. Today, it is much harder to find a record label committed to this goal. When a record label signs a new artist or band, they presume the act has sufficient musical, songwriting, and performance talent, with little need to approve upon. That is simply not the case. This is one of the major reasons why new artists/bands fail in the music industry.

One of the most important aspects of the services we provide is to take the pressure off you, artist, and simplify the process so you can focus on being…the artist! We handle everything from scheduling, logistics, paperwork, and building relationships with Producers, Managers, Publishers, Lawyers, and Songwriters. That way you can show up at the session and put all of your focus on creating music!

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Care and understanding. Working with talent is extremely difficult but also very rewarding. The goal of ours is to bring out every ounce of skill and creative energy from each of our client artists. We win if and win our client wins in their personal and creative lives. We are lifers and will go through thick and thin for our clients. We believe sometimes more then the artists themselves believe and we don’t stop encouraging and helping.
