Meet Deliyonne Hoggs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deliyonne Hoggs.

Deliyonne, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started my love for music by singing with my grandfather who was a singer and songwriter himself.

I had friends and teachers who encouraged my gift and love for music so it pushed me to continue.

I currently create music independently within the community and I’m working on my 1st project that will be on all streaming platforms.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road definitely has not been smooth every day is a learning experience as far as marketing and social media are concerned as well as time because like any other person striving to follow their dreams I also have bills and everyday life responsibilities. I want to create timeless music. I don’t want to be here for a minute I want to do music forever it’s my passion, so consistency is the key.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am a songwriter and singer that specializes in connecting people thru the power of music. Maybe it’s love or maybe it’s self-reflection no matter what song I create the goal is to tell a story. I am most proud of creating with other artist and having the opportunity to grow as an artist by working with others throughout the community and being able to express myself. What sets me apart from the rest of the crowd is my ability to rap, sing, and songwrite. With those gifts, I’m welcomed to be versatile and create To any genre of music.

Do you feel luck has played a role in your life?
Honestly, I don’t believe luck has anything to do with it. I’ve done my best to be surrounded by people like myself striving to share their creativity while being positive and open-minded. That alone has led to certain opportunities thru networking. Good things happen just like bad things happen, but it’s up to you to weather the storm and learn from it because that’s a part of life’s process. It is important to be self-aware.
