Meet Deborah Vinci of Cool-it Caddy in Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deborah Vinci.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Deborah. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
The innovative concept for the Cool-It Caddy® was developed by founder Deborah Vinci one steamy summer afternoon while golfing in the Arizona desert. Deborah had grown tired of dealing with melted lip balm, lipstick and melted snacks during her game and decided there had to be a solution. Shortly after, her very cool, yet haute line of products was born—keeping make-up, snacks and even medications from melting in the hot summer sun, yet fashionable and fun. No need to lug a bulky cooler, you can take your heat sensitive items along and look fashionable at the same time!

Currently, Cool-it Caddy® and Icepops® are sold online and at retail locations across the country, as well as private golf clubs and resorts.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been both, a bumpy and smooth road along the journey of coming up with an idea, getting it manufactured and then marketing it. Many lessons learned along the way! Overall it has been a great experience and I would encourage all entrepreneurs to follow their dreams, take a chance and just go for it.

Please tell us about Cool-it Caddy.
My company manufactures bags that have a removable coolant. We are considered a travel/cosmetic bag as well as a sports bag for active lifestyle women and men to be able to play golf, tennis, hike, etc. and take along a few heat sensitive essentials such as lip balm, sunscreen, meds or snacks.

We design our bags, they are manufactured and then sold mostly in the United States. We are currently working on international sales.

What sets us apart from others is the fact that our bags are not only functional but fashionable as well. A couple of our styles can be used as a purse when the coolant is not required. Simply unzip the interior pockets that house the coolant packs and remove them. The bag is now a fashionable purse.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Probably the best memory would be playing outside. We were always playing games outdoors instead of inside.
