Meet David and Krystal Tabor Torres of 480 The new generation in Chandler

Today we’d like to introduce you to David and Krystal Tabor Torres.

David and Krystal, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We started our journey in building this brand by simply wanting more in life. We were both tired of not having freedom from our Jobs. David, my fiancé always wanted a brand that represented his state. We both came up with 480 The New Generation. I originally had a business license, so I used that and created a DBA for 480TNG. Which made it way easier for us and the process, I started looking into logos, and drawing out what we wanted. As soon as we found what we thought would fit the brand, I put an application in for copywriting our work. After that, it was simply marketing and branching out. So far, we’ve gotten into Scottsdale Fashion Square mall and will be there till Dec. 2019. We are in the process of working with the VA hospital in getting our products in the downtown location. We are also working with the Phoenix city to get into our local Sky Habor, those offers take longer. However, we are very excited to see what the next six months hold for our brand.

Has it been a smooth road?
No, every message or email that I tried to reach out to vendors has been declined. Some would say we didn’t fit there “vibe.” When we finally got an offer for Scottsdale Fashion Square, we were stoked to get the opportunity.

We’d love to hear more about your brand.
We make unique designs for our brand. We are known for our Arizona state flag behind our 480. However, we hope to build our brand with more variety of things. We are very proud of the support group we have. Our influencers play a huge role in sponsoring our brand. What sets us apart is the diversity in our brand, we have all kinds of generations trying to make a difference. We just aren’t “company making T-shirt’s,” we are brand that wants to try to make a difference in our clothing, hoping that when you wear our products you feel some type of way, empowerment, comfortable, confident, and even a cool kid!
