Meet Darren Wright of Wright Oversight & Organization

Today we’d like to introduce you to Darren Wright.

Darren, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was raised in a small midwestern town by two hard-working parents. My Mother was a successful business owner and my Father had a private practice as an Attorney. Observing my parents build and grow their respective businesses and observe so many people look to them for advice and counsel made a big impression on me to serve others and was very inspiring to me.

You need this type of inspiration when growing up in a small town where there isn’t much to do on the weekends, and you don’t have a tremendous amount of exposure to the outside world. After High School graduation I loaded up my car and drive west to Arizona State University for something bigger, something more and fell in love with Arizona.

The outdoors, the weather and the people, who are a melting pot from across the country to give you something not too west coast, something not east coast and something not to midwest, but just about right. My original path at ASU was re law and political science working as a senators aide to the Honorable Dennis Deconcini.

Although I enjoyed serving for him and the government while in school, I discovered that law, nor politics was the path for me. I decided to find out what was important to people and helping them make smart choices about their money was the direction for me.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Smooth is not a word I would use for my road. The first few years were like pushing a heavy boulder up a steep grade while someone is taking pot shots at you. Lots of frustartion, rejection, studying, learning, and growing. I quit the business in my head hundreds of times.

Asking myself was this the right path, isnt there something else I could do that is an easier path. A wise Mentor told me the following: Easy Choices=Hard Life…… Hard Choices=Easy Life. Remebering this and reinforcing it with staying positive, other coaching, books, and grit paid off as it does with almost everyone in every pursuit.

The bigger the goal, the bigger the challenges. That’s just how life works for all of us, it’s just that the most successful people make it look easy. What you dont see is all the thousands of hours of practice and preperation. Trust the process, trust the soup, learn, take care of others and the rest works out.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Wright Oversight & Organization – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
