Meet Danyele Sims

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danyele Sims.

Danyele, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve been singing and writing songs since I was a little girl. 

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been a difficult journey. Managing my day and trying to support myself and my dream has been a little tough

Tell us more about your work.
I’m a singer-songwriter. I don’t like to generalize my self to one specific genre. I like to think of myself to eclectic. I don’t make songs within a genre. I write songs to capture and convey a specific mood, or emotion!

What’s your outlook for the industry in our city?
Phoenix is an undiscovered treasure with ample potential. I would recommend someone who is looking to expand their fan base and expose their artistry to a new audience to come here. The city needs to support local artists more. The industry isn’t looking for talent here, but there’s plenty of it. Phoenix has to take the industry, not wait for the Industry to Lori was Phoenix.
