Meet Danielle Miranda

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Miranda.

Danielle, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
As a kid growing up you get asked often “What do you want to be when you grow up?”. Your typical child would say something along the lines of; Oh, I’m going to be a doctor, an astronaut, superhero, etc. I never knew what I wanted to be, all I know is that I wanted to help as many people as I can, however, I could. This world revolves around money, greed and a bunch of negative powerful people. I may not always have a wallet full of cash, but I would give my last dollar to anyone that needed it more than I did.

I learned early in life that I must work for what I want. I watched my mom struggle every day to be able to give my siblings and I the best life that we could possibly have growing up. Even till this day I know I can count on her and my family for anything. I wouldn’t be who I am today without them. My mom was never controlling, but you knew not to disrespect her. She taught us all to be who we are every single day and to kill people with kindness. Despite how others would make me feel, she taught me to never let them win. People will try and break you down every single day, to keep you from growing and becoming who you’re meant to be.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As much as I try to be an optimistic person, I can not lie to my self or to others about how rough this road has been for me. For as long as I can remember I’ve always been very sensitive to people, their energies and my surroundings. Being so sensitive made me feel vulnerable and weak. I was always so afraid of being alone, and having to grow up and eventually do things for my self.

On top of that, I struggle daily with my anxiety and depression. I know what you’re probably thinking and trust me I sound like a hot mess. One thing I can say confidently though is that I’m still here. I know times are tough, days are long, and I’m always tired but no matter what I will not give up. I know I have a purpose, and I will not anything get in my way.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I’m currently attending school to become an esthetician. I will graduating by the end of this year and licensed hopefully by early next year. I’m still in the process of learning but I already have a bunch of goals and ideas written down for what I would like to offer.

The beauty industry has been in high demand for as long as I’ve been alive. I want to be that person that helps everyone feel as beautiful as they possibly can. Whether it’s doing a full face of makeup or simple enhancements like eyelash extensions, brow wax, etc. My only goal when it comes to beauty is to look like a solid ten fresh out of the shower you feel me on that one? I definitely did not wake up this way cause’ honey, the way I wake up. no one wants to look like that.

I’m totally kidding, but honestly, I know that my personality alone will defer from others. I want to offer services that will be affordable for a wide range of people, I want to be known in the industry for who I am, my philosophy.

One other thing that I know people know about me is that I love working out. I try and practice what I preach for the most part, but when those hot cheeto cravings kick in that’s when it gets tough. I’ve struggled with my weight for years. My highest weight was probably 179, my weight currently fluctuates from 142-146. I’m still nowhere close to where I want to be but I have worked hard to get to where I am. The gym has always been an escape for me, it’s where I can focus and feel completely zoned out from the world.

I know that fitness will always be an important part of my life, and I pray that one day I’m actually able to have a life in the fitness industry. I have met so many amazing people that have the same mindset and goals that I do at the gym. There really isn’t anything better than that. Being surround by like-minded people makes you feel so inspired and ready to accomplish every goal that ever had.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I know this is going to sound cheesy, but if I could give credit to every person in my life I would. My family for the most part has been the biggest support and I know they will continue to do so. Regardless of how crazy our lives get I know that I can call my mom or any family member and they will always be there for me. I want to personally thank Sam, this girl has been in my life for about 10 years now, we’ve been roommates for a whole year, and she’s been there for me and helped me get out of head so many times.

Alex, one of the friendships I hold dear to my heart. The one person who has truly been there when no one else has, you were always there to uplift me and remind me of who I am. Lastly to the person who deserves so much credit is Zac, I met you this year and my life changed completely. You’re constantly pushing me to do better every single day, and you never let me talk down on my self. I learn something new from you every single day. Whether it’s fitness related, business-related, or anything relevant to life i’m constantly learning from you These past few years I have met so many amazing people that have made such a huge impact in my life. I’m truly blessed to be surrounded by such beautiful genuine people.
