Meet Daniel and Natalie Bobik

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel and Natalie Bobik.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
Together, as a couple and family, we wanted to build something bigger than ourselves. A brand that would have a positive impact on others and connect with people on a real level. As a college basketball player at Oklahoma State, I would always wear a new pair of socks before every game because of how they made me feel. They made me feel ‘ready’. There’s nothing quite like putting on a really nice pair of socks to make you feel ‘ready’ for what the day will throw at you!

We are passionate about product and people. We are focused on creating the best product possible as well as building lasting relationships with others. For the last several decades, as outsourcing and large marketing budgets have become the norm, product quality has consequently suffered. These products have become labeled as ‘disposable’. At Kaktōs, everything we do is in service to quality. For this reason, we use the world’s best cotton (Supima) (which is grown here in Arizona) and are manufactured in the USA. These two things allow us to build products that our customers love and connect with our customers on a human level.

Please tell us about your art.
We create the best ‘every day’ socks available. We work with artisans who are working moms themselves. Each one of us have our individual ‘hard’ that we have to go through. Your hard is different than someone else’s’. We hope that when you pull on your pair of Kaktōs socks that you feel the quality of our product, feel valued and are ‘ready’ to face ‘hard’ with courage.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing artists today?
Balance and competing priorities!
