Today we’d like to introduce you to Damesha Craig
Hi Damesha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born in the Midwest, Iowa, and raised in the vibrant community of Portola Valley, California. As the eldest of five siblings and a proud mom to my two amazing children, Huntley and Harlyn Rose, I now call Chandler, Arizona, home, where I’m building the next chapter of my life with purpose and passion.
I’m the daughter of Vernessia Craig and SF 49ers running back legend Roger Craig and a former track and field standout who still holds records in the Bay Area over two decades later. Earning a full scholarship to UCLA as a Division I athlete taught me curiosity, discipline, resilience, consistency and adaptability—skills I’ve carried into every facet of my career.
My journey into becoming a People Leader began after exploring diverse paths in PR, Design, Sales, and Modeling, where I gained invaluable experience that shaped my perspective. I initially specialized in Talent for the gaming industry, working at renowned studios affiliated with Sony, such as Naughty Dog, where I contributed to staffing for iconic titles like Uncharted 3 and The Last of Us.
Determined to expand my horizons, I transitioned into the tech industry, overcoming numerous challenges and rejections along the way—enduring hundreds of “no’s” to finally get to my one “yes.” That persistence eventually paid off when I secured a role as Senior Recruiter at TuneIn Radio, marking the start of an incredible journey in the tech world.
With over a decade of experience in Recruiting and Human Resources, I’ve built a career as a People leader who thrives in fast-paced early and growth stage startups. I’ve led teams through domestic and international scaling efforts, achieving 3x to 4x growth while fostering inclusive and dynamic workplace cultures.
Throughout my career, I’ve hired thousands of incredible leaders of all levels and had the privilege to mentor and coach them both personally and professionally. I’ve also collaborated with esteemed venture capital firms like Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), General Catalyst, Google Ventures, and Lightspeed. These partnerships have allowed me to combine strategic precision, innovative thinking, and a deep commitment to fostering growth and excellence while consistently delivering exceptional results.
Although my career has been fulfilling, it hasn’t been without its challenges. I’ve faced depression, burnout and moments of disconnection from myself. I was the classic work-a-holic and had challenges harmonizing my professional and personal life. There was times when I felt a deep, unshakable sense that I was being called to something greater. I knew God planted gifts within me that I wasn’t fully embracing. I felt I was meant for more to serve on a larger scale, to be a messenger of purpose and transformation. But stepping into that calling required making space for my own inner transformation, beginning with an honest evaluation of my life—both personally and professionally.
When God calls me to pivot, it often comes as a disruptive nudge, rarely accompanied by clarity. The path is sometimes murky, confusing not only to me but to those around me. Yet, I’ve learned to trust His guidance and remain obedient to His direction, even when it doesn’t make complete sense. This moment was no different. I answered the call by fully committing to the process of self-actualization, radical acceptance, forgiveness of myself and others, and cultivating what I call my “leadership garden.”
This journey required brutal honesty. I took a hard look at what no longer served me and examined my life—mind, body, and soul. I became intentional about monitoring and auditing my energy, pouring back into my cup by creating both an internal and external sanctuary. I needed a space to quiet the noise, heal, unlearn old patterns, adopt new tools, and foster growth.
Through this deep self-work, I realigned my mind, body, and soul, creating space to hear God’s voice and uncover how He could use me to serve on a greater scale.
Today, I am proud multi-heartpreneur, a certified Mindset, Life, and Career Coach and the Founder of LEVELD Coaching. I help Executives—primarily parents—thrive personally and professionally by helping them get unstuck, escape the burnout cycle, and find joy, harmony and purpose in their lives. I also provide coaching services to organizations, focusing on leadership development, flow, and excellence to align with their purpose and mission.
Additionally, I am a wellness content creator, published author, an Executive contributor to communities and publications and my newsletter The Soul Fueler Journal on Substack. I also host Sunday SoulDay, a top wellness podcast where I share insights and inspiration from guests and topics like living more fully, self-care, personal and professional growth, spirituality, and mindfulness.
My work is a deep reflection of my journey, and my mission is to empower others to align their lives mind, body and soul with purpose, joy, and fulfillment.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Over the next 5-10 years, the coaching industry is set for transformative growth, driven by key shifts and trends. First, corporate investment in coaching will increase, with organizations recognizing coaching as essential for leadership development, employee engagement, and performance improvement. Coaching will become embedded in organizational cultures, extending beyond executives to include employees at all levels, aligned with goals around diversity, equity, and well-being.
Additionally, the coaching landscape will shift toward community and group coaching. Platforms like Skool, Circle, The Iconic Business Hub, Mighty Networks and many others will create spaces for group coaching, peer support, and shared learning. This trend reflects a desire for collective growth, allowing individuals to connect with like-minded peers while still benefiting from personalized coaching.
Finally, AI and technology will continue to redefine coaching, making it more accessible and data-driven. AI-powered tools will enable coaches to analyze client data in real-time, offering dynamic and tailored coaching strategies that adapt to clients’ needs. Virtual sessions and automated follow-ups will extend the reach of coaching, blending human connection with technology to deliver impactful outcomes. I can also envision AI-generated coaching playing a significant role for certain clients, making coaching more accessible and affordable. By leveraging AI, individuals who may not have had the resources for traditional one-on-one coaching can benefit from personalized guidance tailored to their unique needs. This technology can offer scalable support, providing clients with the tools to track progress, gain insights, and receive recommendations, all at a fraction of the cost of conventional coaching. AI-driven solutions have the potential to democratize coaching, allowing a broader range of people to access transformative support and empowering them to achieve their goals more effectively.
In summary, the coaching industry is moving toward a future focused on personalization, accessibility, and community. AI will enhance coaching practices, while corporate and individual clients alike embrace coaching as a tool for personal and professional transformation. This evolution will create a more inclusive, interconnected, and tech-powered coaching ecosystem.
