Today we’d like to introduce you to Creative Waves Studio.

Hello Creative Waves Studio, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Our families have been long-time friends, so we’ve known each other for a while. However, it wasn’t until this past summer (June 2021) that we realized we both had a passion for creativity and business.

Erika had just recently graduated college with a marketing/advertising degree and Shannon had recently started a Social Media Management business.

After spending several afternoons talking about how we could work together, we decided to start a creative agency where we could indulge in our passions of design and marketing to help other small-to-medium-sized businesses implement social media strategies and design to elevate their presence and reach.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting and growing a business is never an easy feat, so smooth is not the word we would use to describe it! We live across the country from each other (Erika in Michigan – Shannon in Arizona), so that can be a struggle in and of itself and while we both have experience in marketing/design, we’ve had to really get creative in how we attract new clients.

After numerous inquiry calls and meetings with potential clients, we realized a lot of people starting businesses don’t necessarily have the funds to invest in a full build-out of their dream brand or in a full-blown social media strategy.

After realizing this, we’ve been working on the build-out of a new services suite that we hope will allow everyone a chance, regardless of their budget, to experience what having a true brand and social media presence can do for their business.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Creative Waves Studio?
Creative Waves Studio is a full-service digital agency focusing on individuals and businesses who want to step away from the DIY branding, but don’t have the funds or aren’t quite ready to invest in a full-scale branding suite.

We help these individuals and businesses create a foundation and custom identity through Design Intensives – meaning we create custom brands, websites, and social media strategies within a week’s time, at an affordable price.

Our services include branding, web design, social media strategy/management, and email marketing.

At Creative Waves, our goal is to help you bring to life the visual side of your brand, so when it comes time to launch or promote your business you feel confident and excited about what you are putting out there.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The design/social media management market can seem incredibly saturated at times, so I think one of the most important things we can do to be successful is to stay true to ourselves and who we serve.

We have our own unique way of doing things and we know we aren’t for everybody, but as long as we know that, we’ll be able to stand out to those who we are for.

Plus, getting and staying creative with our offerings, our pricing, and the way we do things is also important to be successful in this industry. There are so many talented and creative designers out there, that we have to make sure we are doing things a little differently to stand out.

Going the extra mile for clients, always making sure we are telling a story that feels true to their vision, and doing all of that at an affordable price point is where we see the most success.
