Meet Courtney Denevi of Love Lee Productions in Central Phoenix

Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Denevi.

Courtney, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always been a fan of music and dancing since I was younger. My mother was an aerobics teacher and constantly influenced my life with music and movement. I started performance arts while in high school. I first started stage performances for the Arizona EDM community in 2009. What started out as a simple gogo dancing gig was transformed into more expressive art and production. I started to have an interest in fire performing and stage organization. I have performed with fire and dance at over 100+ events. I now take on the role of management, by organizing, costuming, and selecting performers for multiple events around Arizona and out of state.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not always been a smooth road. I feel towards the beginning of my Career I would perform for much less and work very extensive and long hours. As you grow and develop into your passion, I have found that I hold my company to a higher standard and feel that my performers should be paid fairly. I now use contracts making sure all accommodations are met for all performers for each event.

Please tell us about Love Lee Productions.
Love Lee Productions started off as an independent contractor for dance, fire, and theatrical performances. As events have grown bigger over the years, a team has proven to be much more successful. I individually contract performers for specific events. My performers range from classical dance, modeling, and fire performance experience. All performers dance (freestyle and choreographed), perform with fire (fire breathing, poi, fans, staff, fire eating, freestyle and choreographed), and model at various events. I work as a manager on site during the events. I organize all costuming, hair, and make up for all performers. I also delegate times for performance and choreographed routines upon request. Each event is unique, and the performances are equally stunning. We take special requests and create a one of a kind experience for each event. I am most proud of my performer’s professionalism and their attention to detail. They really make each event special and personalized.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood focused around music would have to be blasting C & C music factory while with my family. I was also a huge fan of Aqua and remember jumping around my room and performing “I’m a barbie girl” for my set of barbie dolls. I also remember the multiple dance recitals and the support from my family to push forward and keep doing what I love.
