Today we’d like to introduce you to Corrie Hairston Jr.

Hi Corrie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
From a young age, I always had a knack for capturing moments. Growing up in St. Louis, MO, it was hard not to be inspired by the natural beauty around. In 2010 I got my first camera started filming everything from family gatherings to school sports events. The thrill of editing those clips into cohesive stories sparked a passion that would shape the future.

After high school, I decided to move to FL and pursue this passion more seriously. Enrolling in a local college, I majored in film production, seeking to learn the ins and outs of videography and editing. Not long after I dropped out and went on YouTube to research to expand my knowledge on professional equipment and software. I had spent countless hours perfecting techniques, often staying up late into the night, driven by a desire to create.

Simultaneously, I started taking on small gigs, filming weddings, local sports events, and even producing music videos for myself and other artist around the country. These projects, though modest, built a strong portfolio and honed my skills. Every project was a learning opportunity, a chance to experiment and grow.

Eventually, this dedication paid off. In 2022 I landed a job with a local financial firm, where I work as a full time videographer/editor. Also a head videographer job for an upcoming basketball team in the valley the Arizona HEET. Now, I work on a variety of projects, from corporate videos to commercials, each adding a new layer of expertise. The experience has been enriching, the dream was always to become a successful at something I enjoy doing.

Balancing a full-time job and freelance work is tough, but I’m relentless as this exposure continues to bring in more clients, and opportunities.

Today, I’m a sought-after videographer, known for a keen eye for detail and also a unique storytelling ability style. From shooting high-profile events to creating compelling narratives in the editing room, I have built a reputation for excellence. The journey from a kid with a camera to a successful professional in the industry has been challenging but incredibly rewarding, fueled by passion, hard work, and an unyielding love for the craft.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Most successful journeys, including those in creative fields, often come with their fair share of bumps and challenges. Initial rejection, cost of gear, client management, creative burnout, market competition, and financial stability are a few factors I’ve struggled with during my time as a solo creative.

A passionate videographer and editor based in Phoenix, AZ, my work revolves around creating visually captivating and emotionally engaging content.

I specialize in cinematic videography, capturing high-quality footage that tells compelling stories. Whether it’s a short film, a music video, or a promotional piece, my goal is to evoke emotions and leave a lasting impact on the audience.

Growing up I also had a love for music recording songs of my own which I combined with videography. I was able to excel at creating music videos that resonate with both the artists and their fans. Then as a sports enthusiast, In 2023 I began capturing the intensity and excitement of athletic events for Chandler High football and also the Phoenix Rising soccer club.

I am known for my meticulous attention to detail and my ability to bring out the best in every project. My work is characterized by its high production value, creativity, and emotional depth. Clients appreciate my dedication to their vision and my commitment to delivering exceptional results.

One of my proudest achievements is filming my first major Artist “Soulja Boy” in 2016 and also my first video to hit a million views with artist “NoCap”. Each of these projects represents a significant milestone in my career, showcasing my ability to blend visual storytelling with music.

What sets me apart from others in the field is my unique blend of technical skills, artistic vision, and genuine passion for storytelling. I approach each project with a fresh perspective, always striving to push creative boundaries and exceed expectations. My background in sports and music gives me a distinct edge, allowing me to create content that resonates deeply with audiences.

In essence, my work is a reflection of my dedication to my craft and my love for storytelling. Through my art, I aim to create experiences that not only captivate viewers but also inspire and move them.
