Meet Corey Snowden of Meridian EFT

Today we’d like to introduce you to Corey Snowden.

Hi Corey, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I like to say, I was born with a lot of ‘extras.’ After having my 12th surgery in 2020, this one to remove extra bones in my foot and move the arch tendon to a new bone, I fell off the machine trying to help me walk correctly. These injuries led me to a unique understanding of the body and how it responds to stress and adversity; positively or negatively. How my response to a lot of things was hindering, not helping me heal. Given my prognosis for walking without a cane or prescription pain meds was zero, I was looking at a lifetime of opioid addiction and set back after set back, which absolutely caused me to search for other ways to heal. I simply felt way too active and healthy to hear the repeated phrase, “this is a devastating injury and I’m really sorry”.
That prognosis prodded me into naturopathy, energy medicine, and specifically, the activity of nervous system. What I found through an amazing amount of research, and conversations with leaders in alternative as well as traditional medicine, and through my own experiences, all paved the way for a complete change of direction; this one was very promising. I happily say that after more than 18 months of treatments, I walk totally fine, without a cane, and without opioids. Most people would never know what I went through. But facing the reality of not walking again opened the door to learning mindset changes and shifts that still improve my every step today. I have major gratitude with just about everything I do, and most people say it shows. And when I’m hiking several miles without issue, I don’t think there is a bigger smile on the trails than mine.
But if it wasn’t enough that I healed almost completely, or that I am out in nature again without the added metal, it certainly rang the bell when all of this changed my life so profoundly because this learned knowledge turned into a career; a private practice designed to help others handle adversity with some amazing tools. I closed my previous business in 2021 and went into EFT practitioner school to master ways to help others learn how to help themselves. I love every minute of what I do with my clients which is hold space while they’re going through changes. I offer ideas and techniques that are natural and work with their body. EFT is backed by science and effective with combat veterans experiencing the effects of post trauma (commonly known as PTSD). I cannot say enough good things about this tool as I feel it was the missing component to my recovery. And the statistics are just as fantastic.
In 2025, I added Ketamine Assisted Integration to my practice and that has increased “changing unwanted patterns” with EFT to a level I never considered. Time after time we are witnessing people really making huge advancements in their decision making and changes in habits. While I love EFT and believe it works with most adversities, adding Ketamine with EFT has shown incredible ability for people to meet their goals. I am extremely excited to see how we can keep combining the power of EFT with the therapeutic benefits of ketamine integration. It feels fantastic to be in a field where progress is daily and the momentum is huge. Who would have thought almost losing the connection to a foot would cause life to be so incredible. My darkest day ended up being my greatest gift. I still find some fascination with that.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth? No. I reached a point when doctors were telling me I should be happy I was alive and wishing every bit that a semi ran me over instead. I remember trying everything to crawl out of a darkness that was silent and isolating, but no matter what I did I just kept sliding back down into a hole. I felt like screaming at the world plenty. All of my life I had a philosophy that hard work and dedication would land me everywhere I wanted to go. But this time, nothing was working and a future was hard to look forward to.
Battling a tribal belief that there is only one way to heal and that is through medication and surgeons was pretty challenging. I was in a ton of pain, at the top of the pain scale even. Being that desperate to ‘try anything’ outside of western medicine went completely against my background which is mostly law. But being in that level of pain had a way of helping me keep looking for other answers.
Being patient, 18 months was super hard of an extreme low amount of movement. A LOT of my days were zero movement except one hour at PT then I was to be still which was maddening until I learned other ways. Not being able to keep up my company…hard times.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Meridian EFT?
I believe my practice is only one of a few globally right now which is kind of neat. I am an advanced EFT practitioner working on my advanced certification which is unique in itself. I work with doctors and practitioners to provide Ketamine Assisted Integration, a rapidly expanding service that is showing considerable promise and results. The combination of Ketamine and EFT provides an exceptional way for clients and patients to explore areas of their lives and inner habits that we haven’t had before, and while doing so in a safe, professional environment. Integrating Ketamine allows us to go into areas of the subconscious that the nervous system often blocks. And we can do so with more ease for weeks after Ketamine is administered. Having tools like EFT to use if any uncomfortable moments are uncovered also gives someone that much more flexibility, security and comfort while they do inner work of this kind.
Because I’m so passionate about EFT and how much it can help with so many things, I’m also out in the public speaking quite a bit on its behalf. For example, in late August I gave a presentation to the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce Leads group. Other presentations have been at clinics, pilates, fire departments, City EMS groups, doctor’s offices, outpatient treatments, small to mid-size companies, online groups and in-person women’s retreats, and several others. In a few weeks, I will be in Seattle hosting an EFT workshop within a retreat.
What I would like people to know is that there are simple and effective ways you can help yourself through adverse and stressful times that are pretty effective and worth the time to invest. From tapping, to breathing, to resourcing, to grounding your energy, to moving your energy, to sitting with just yourself in a non-judgmental way, to learning to take better care of yourself, all the way to ketamine integration, there are so many ways that we can train our minds and bodies to live the way that we dream. One thing is for sure, no one knows what’s in store until we try something new. It is THEN we realize just how good it can be when we reach for something greater.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Without a hesitation, listen to your gut, to your thoughts, to YOUR inner wisdom. Find out what it is trying to say because I promise it has a fruitful message.

Being kind to yourself first helps love freely flow to others.

Say no, it doesn’t matter, people want to know who you are.

NEVER QUIT. Speak up, stand up and be in your truth.

And if you don’t like the chatter you’re hearing, change your audience. No one gets to tell you who you are and what you can or cannot do. It’s your body, your life, your thoughts, your mind; YOU decide.
