Meet Ciarra Monroe

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Ciarra Monroe. Ciarra was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Adanna Bernard.

Ciarra, thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?

Hello. I am a working mother but I also am a business owner. I create home fragrance products, skincare and provide spiritual services such as readings and life coaching.

My business started around 2014 with lotion bars and waxmelts. I started my business because I suffered from severe allergies, asthma and eczema. I could not use products from the store because I was allergic and the various creams and prescription meds I received from the doctor were not working.

I started looking into natural remedies and started creating my own sensitive skin friendly products. At the time, I was also selling waxmelts for a popular MLM company. However, customers would complain about the scent not lasting long enough. With my newfound knowledge of creating my own products, I started making waxmelts as well. I was able to create waxmelts that could last between days and even up to a week.

I shared my products with my coworkers and they became my first customers. They then referred me to others and I built a local customer base. Eventually, I created a website and started selling my products online.

After I had a spiritual awakening, I then started making my own intention candles and oracles decks which I also added to my online store. I began to share what I was learning and what I was going through on social media which led to people requesting my assistance either through psychic readings or through a life coaching capacity. I help people with progressing spiritually but also by taking practical steps towards advancement. I am currently learning about the links between science, psychology and spirituality.

Creating products that I need for myself and offering them for sale to others has helped me to create additional streams of income without having to get a second job. As a mother that has been a great help as spending time with my son is very important to me.

I have added several products to my business since I first started. I now have haircare products, journals, candles, oracle decks, smudge sprays, body butters, beard oils and so many other products and am writing a few books. Overall I love to create using transmutation, or using “problems” as motivation to create solutions and look forward to creating more solutions and helping others.

Please tell us more about your brand, Capricorn Moon Goddess
I like to use transmutation to create products that offer solutions for myself and others. Instead of being discouraged, when I have a problem I use that frustration to create. I started a skincare and haircare line because I have sensitive skin which causes extreme eczema that not even doctors could help. I started making waxmelts and candles to creats better quality products that last. I started helping people by lifecoaching because I had to use the power of affirmations and manifestation to help me out of dark times in my life. I love teaching others how to do the same. I started making intention candles because I wanted to make products with love, care and good intentions and that were personalized for me and my customers. I feel the energy is better than that of mass produced products. I also use my knowledge to help others to create as well. I prefer to empower vs create codependent bonds. My business involves me walking in my purpose so it’s not about money, it’s about helping others. I typically provide more value in my products and services than the cost. What makes me stand out is that I truly care about my customers. I am still employed so money is not the driving motivation for my business. I create because I want to and I share my creations with others.

I discovered Adanna and her business AfroZen on Facebook. She showed up in my recommend because we have a mutual friend on Facebook. I saw her providing him with a reading on Facebook Live and I felt she had genuine energy, was accurate and very joyous. She smiles and laughs a lot. Regardless of what she may be going through, she still smiles. Not a smile to cover up her pain but a genuine smile.

I am a reader myself so I can tell who is accurate and who is not. I have run into other readers that were accurate but who were working from their ego. Adanna does not. She is operating from a pure heart. She is not caught up wanting to viral or get to a certain number of followers. Her motivation is to use her experiences to help others and it shows.

I am very studious and take my craft seriously. Which means constantly learning and applying information I learn as well as interpreting it for myself. I can tell when others do the same and when people are just regurgitating what other people say. Adanna definitely does the work to understand her craft and that stood out to me.
