Meet Cheryl Gangemi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheryl Gangemi.

Hi Cheryl, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I’d love to. When I was young, my Mom would spend hours making homemade candies, cookies, and freshly baked bread for Christmas. She would package them in tins for us to gift to our teachers, mailman, UPS driver, milkman, Pastor, neighbors, and family. Everyone looked forward to Mom’s treats every year. She brought so many smiles and such joy!

Mom was my inspiration for starting Sweet Cheryl’s, my online bakery, spreading JOY one sweet treat at a time.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
There have been a few setbacks of which one of them was Covid. I offered Porch Pick Ups for Easter Bunny Cookie Kits. It thought that I’d just ‘put it out there.’ I thought I would make a few customers happy and wow! I sold 68 Cookie Kits. It made me realize I can do this. This is going to work.

* I use several family recipes that are tried and true.
* Our Signature Cinnamon Rolls were inspired by my Mom.
* I know that God has his hand in all of the blessings that come our way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have an online bakery, Sweet Cheryl’s. We bake our items fresh. We ship, deliver, porch pick up and offer Curbside With A Smile.

I’m proud of every item that leaves my kitchen. I believe in customer follow-up.

My Signature Sugar Cookies are customized for all types of celebrations. #smilesguaranteed.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up.
Watching my Mom baking and making candies for friends and family. It was and still is her love language.
